I had the Medical POA for my Mother who was under his care while he was on call at the PVH ICU. She was in an exacerbated pulmonary state for which putting her on a Bipap machine would have assisted her breathing and improved her spo2 levels a common practice, I later learned, for her condition. He refused treatment and said she should be put on end of life care. When we asked him to discuss this with us he said he did not have time and left the room. At that time, an ICU nurse also in the room chased him down and told him she would write him up if he did not return and discuss it with us: He had to be forced. She died, and only later did we learn there were treatment options which could have prevented her death. He is insensitive, lacks empathy, has no bedside manner, and is not a practitioner I would never again trust with the treatment of any family member.

My father has been newly diagnosed with cancer. During the visit after the biopsy, my parents were trying to absorb all the details of the result and the plan for treatment. Nobody asked dr. Solomon how long my father had left, but he "readily" provided the information sending my parents into shock. We did not know how fast the desease was progressing and no other details yet, but got to know how long we could have my father's company.
