Dr. Joshua Weidman, MD

Dr. Weidman is absolutely wonderful! He has an excellent bedside manner, is always patient, and explains everything clearly. The office is beautiful, spotless, and very well organized, with minimal wait times. Every visit has been a positive experience. I can’t recommend Dr. Weidman highly enough — 10/10!

Dr. Weidman is the absolute best! He delivered both of my children (now ages 7&9) and always takes the best care of my during my annual well visits. He is caring, professional , extremely knowledgeable and I trust him to the core. From IUD insertion, to removal, to ensuring both of my babies were born healthy, while I stayed healthy, I could not recommend him enough.

My visit was a very good experience. Staff was great, doctor was very easy to speak with and was very thorough. The office was beautiful, loved the candle in the bathroom!

From top to bottom, beginning to end Dr. Weidman and his staff deliver top notch service. They take the time to answer your questions, help as best as they can and have the friendliest demeanors. Highly recommend!

I was a new patient with Dr Weidman. The office is clean and beautiful. The staff was so nice and professional. I was taken on time and barely a wait once in the exam room. Dr Weidman really took his time to talk to me and calm my nerves. I especially appreciate that he called me personally with my test results. I am so happy I switched to this practice and Dr Weidman.

I am so scarred by Dr. Weidman that it took me nearly 11 years to write this. - After pushing for nearly two hours he (finally) came into the room and basically told me there was no way I was going to be able to push the baby out. He was dying to give me a c-section but the nurses (thank god) got him to leave. - Finally, when I was about to do my last couple of pushes he ran into the room and gave me an episiotomy. He didn't ask me first, he didn't tell my husband (who was standing right next to him) that he was going to do it. He just did it. It felt like he wanted to have to cut something since he didn't get the c-section he wanted. Then, after having the baby I returned for the post-partum visit and I was so upset and depressed over what an unsupportive, egomaniac he was in the delivery room, that I couldn't look him on the eyes. It didn't even matter to him that I was clearly traumatized. And of course I was also a new mom and a wreck so I couldn't tell him any of this at the… time. Over the years, the only thing that made me feel better was when I ran into other moms who also had horrible birth experiences with him. So yeah, run away!

Very happy that I had him as my doctor throughout my pregnancy. He is caring and listens to every concern &Answers all questions.

As a physician myself, the treatment that I received by Dr. Weidman was wholly appalling. I made an appointment for a first trimester ultrasound and discovered there was no fetal heartbeat. The woman who performed my ultrasound was incredibly kind but did not provide me with any information other than the fact that she did not see a heartbeat. Dr. Weidman did not review any of the ultrasound with me. After the perfunctory and obligatory “I’m sorry for your loss”, he proceeded to jump into his recommendations. Having been through a miscarriage before and due to the fact that I am also a physician (as is my husband, who was with me), I told him I would like to proceed with medical management. He then proceeded to push me into the surgical option of a d&c despite my concerns and numerous statements of not wanting to proceed with that option. He had his computer in front of him and said he could “get it done” on Thursday or Friday at valley hospital. Upon asking Dr. weidman what type of… anesthesia he planned to use (local vs MAC sedation), he responded “propofol”. I am an anesthesiologist- which he is aware of- and I was truly shocked that he could not (or would not) properly answer my question. He also asked me “do you know what rho-gam is?” - I have never felt so patronized as a patient. Upon leaving Dr. Weidman’s office I was (rightfully) emotional, distraught, and found it hard to believe that such a callous individual routinely cares for women who often undergo truly devastating diagnoses. I immediately made an appointment with a different OBGYN and had a wonderful experience- proving to me that the journey, not the outcome, is what really sticks with a patient.

Dr Weidman is a good doctor if you want to deliver babies but some of his front staff members and technicians are rude. They won't call you when your results are ready. You will have to call them to ask for results and expect rude replies in return for disturbing them. I have been dr Weidman's patient during my first pregnancy and I didn't like the way his technicians and staff talk to me at times. Dr Weidman has his personality too. He can be blunt and arrogant at times. He likes to answer your questions but it comes with sarcasm. For me office staff is an important factor to consider a dr as most of the time you deal with them during appointments and results. So I moved on to some other dr with my 2nd pregnancy.

I've been going there since they opened (and have been with Dr. Weidman way before that ... going on 30 years). The entire staff is personable and treats me as an individual - truly caring about my needs and concerns.
