Dr. Joshua L Wieland, DDS

Dr. Wieland attended the University of North Dakota and Portland State University for undergraduate training and was recognized as a singular undergraduate for achieving a 4.0 GPA for his entire college degree. Dr. Wieland was selected for a very competitive and prestigious 4 year Navy scholarship for a full ride to attend dental school. He attended OHSU here in Portland and graduated with high honors in 2000. After being commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy, Dr. Wieland was selected to attend a one year ADA accredited advanced post-doctoral education in general dentistry program. While serving our Nation in the military, Dr. Wieland received the Naval and Marine Corp Achievement Medal for exemplary service in the dental corp. Since honorably completing his service as a Lieutenant Commander from the Navy, Dr. Wieland has been an outstanding member of the team at Wilsonville Dental Group for the last six years. He has been providing all levels of dental care from family …dentistry, to complex implant surgery, to IV sedation assisted dentistry. Dr. Wieland continues his pursuit of dental excellence with focus on discipline of dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. He has been involved in mentoring and training other dentists about dental implants through the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Wieland is an active member of numerous dental organizations and societies.
Dr. Wieland currently volunteers in Wilsonville as a Boy Scoutmaster. He achieved the Eagle Scout rank as a young man. He enjoys the opportunity and challenge to help the young people in our community adapt the ideals of the scout program and learn leadership skills.
Dr. Wieland and his wife Jennie live in Wilsonville with their six wonderful children. He enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor recreational activities, travel, gardening, and fishing.
