Dr. Joshua Z. Willey, MD

I was recently in a hospital under Dr. Willey's care due to a stroke and am a physician as well. Dr. Willey is basically a "walking encyclopedia" for neurology, given his incredible breadth of knowledge for his field. He is kind and educational. He cared a great deal about my well-being and gave me great advise. I felt very safe and comforted while in his care. I admire and respect him as a neurologist, a physician, and a care-giver. My condition has almost resolved in part thanks to Dr. Willey. I would recommend him to anybody. I will certainly remain under his care as an outpatient. I thank Dr. Willey.

My husband was referred to Dr. Willey for a stroke. He spent well over an hour explaining in detail everything that took place as well as everything we could expect going forward. He left nothing out and gave us his full attention and his time. Dr. Willey was one of the most professional physicians I ever encountered. We left his office knowing my husband was in great care.

I wish I was able to give 0 stars. My mom has a stroke a while back and we were referred to Dr. Willey to see if he can figure out why the stroke happened. After we made the appointment they had to change it 3 times for various reasons. The last one was changed to the next day because he was going to be away on vacation. Fine. So my father and I take off work and we travel from Staten Island for my mom’s 12 pm appointment. At 12:40 we are notified that the doctor called out sick but will be in tomorrow. We waited 4 months for the appointment and then he calls out 40 min after the appointment time? If I call out sick I call out early in the morning, not when I have people waiting for me at my office. To me, this is unprofessional and my family and I are disappointed, to say the least.
