Dr. Joshua Howard Wolf, MD

I love Dr Wolf so much I bought him flowers!

From time to time I read the reviews on the transplant doctors on the unit. I was disturbed to read 2 of the reviews about Dr. Wolf. He is one of the most compassionate physicians I have ever worked with. He takes time with his patients and makes sure all of their questions are answered. I'm going to discount the first negative review in that the reviewer cannot spell and has very poor grammar. I actually remember the patient of the second negative review. Her husband had his kidney for many years, then stopped taking his anti-rejection medications. His wife was very upset and bitter with all of the transplant staff, and clearly took her frustration out on Dr. Wolf, whose job it was to explain to her what happened. He simply told her that there was no way to turn back the clock ("water under the bridge" comment) and they could only look forward at this point. I hope this clears up some of the misconceptions in these unfortunate negative comments.

If this is the same doctor that my husband saw at Piedmont Hospital a few years ago after his transplant failed after lasting 13 years ( and his name WAS Joshua Wolf) then I can tell you that he was very rude, NO compassion and would not even answer our questions. He just kept saying "it was water under the bridge"....finally told him we would request another DR after the way he treated my husband....we were shocked at his manner, we never had that problem with any other doctors at Piedmont Hospital.

I can't say enough about Dr. Wolf. He is by far (along with his fellow transplant Drs. at Piedmont Hospital) the most compassionate, professional, direct Dr. we have come into contact with. Piedmont and the kidney transplant team, saved my husband's life, and we are forever grateful to Dr. Wolf and all the transplant team members.

Dr. Wolf certainly does not have the bedside manner or compassion you would expect from a transplant specialist, such as that of Dr. Carlos Zias. What was Piedmont thinking?He is a Dr. John Whelchel wanna be without the talent, experience and knowlwdge. Not very quality of a doctor in his position.
