Dr. Joshua G Yorgason, MD

My daughter was born with hearing loss and our hospital referred us to Dr. Yorgason. His explanation of our daughter’s condition was short and lacked compassion. On our initial visit he told us her hearing loss could be caused by fluid behind her tympanic membrane and that he would use a special instrument to see if there was fluid and if there was he would recommend ear tubes. He used the instrument and said he saw fluid and we scheduled the surgery to have the tubes placed. At the time our daughter was one month old. The day of the surgery came and we took our daughter for the surgery, and she wasn’t allowed to eat for hours. Dr. Yorgason was two hours late to surgery and hadn’t responded to any calls or pages by the hospital staff. After surgery, he told us there was no fluid after all. A couple months later we switched care to a pediatric ENT at a pediatric hospital and I requested the records for our visits with Dr. Yorgason to keep on file and to take to our new appointments. On… the day that he used the special instrument to look for fluid and supposedly found it, he charted that he saw no fluid. Also, our daughter had imaging of her brain and ear bones. The images were read by a radiologist as normal but Dr. Yorgason told us he saw evidence of stapes fixation, which could mean a very risky surgery (could lose all gearing). When I mentioned this to our pediatric ENT, who had decades of experience, he pulled up the images and said he saw no evidence of stapes fixation. I felt in that moment blessed that we got out from under the care of Dr. Yorgason when we did. I think he’s a quack. And arrogant.

Doctor Yorgason jumped into surgery without proper consent, damaged my turbinates and nasal canals, and as a result my lungs cannot receive warm humidified air like they are supposed to I depend on a machine for breathing now. As a result I am constantly suffocating and was never able to take a deep breath ever again thanks to this monster, how can officials sleep at night knowing they have a money driven doctor out there hunting for surgeries, instead of attempting to help others..... STAY AWAY and run, he works for the PAPARELLA ENT Institute in Minneapolis MN.

Secured a cochlear implant from Dr. Yorgason after 3 tries by other doctors. Dr. Yorgason helped me to hear again. Praise the Lord!

Great doctor....

Wow was this doctor a pompous jerk. First of all he has nurses in the room with you the entire time and just gives orders to them rather than speaking to you which is a little uncomfortable. My condition of dizziness has gotten pretty serious and has really disrupted my life. I was speaking with him asking him questions about what he thought might be going on with my condition. Mid-sentence he actually just started talking to the nurse while I was speaking to him. Like I was just talking to a wall.. Thanks! I had some test results I was waiting on and he NEVER got back nor did his nurse. I even called like 3 times about my results and never even 1 response. He is the absolute worst ENT doctor or professional for that matter I have seen. How is this man even in business. He does not care what is wrong with you, what concerns you have. He wants to look like he is amazing or something in the eyes of his nurses. Or as he probably sees them as his subordinates. He also has a… natural medicine website where I guess you are supposed to pay a monthly subscription and also pay to purchase the products? What a joke if I want to buy natural productâ??s I donâ??t need to subscribe to a monthly membership to be told what to buy. If he really cared about his patents he could advise them what to buy and you could just go buy it?? Simple. Doctor yorgason is a complete scam and I would never trust a diagnosis from him do not see this doctor ever!

Nice doctor most of the time. Inexperienced is my overall belief. Misdiagnosed my condition. Cost me thousands of dollars.

Dr. Yorgason is awesome! I have had to go to an ENT every since I was a little girl, but this was my first time with Dr. Yorgason. I had zero problems with him! He is very personable and is very good at explaining exactly what is going on. My ear was very interesting (to say the least) but we believe it is all fixed! He is very professional, but doesn't act above you and spends all of the necessary time with you. I have already recommended him to everyone I know and I will continue to recommend him!
