Dr. Josie Ruth Alpers, MD

Dr. Alpers joined the practice in 2001. She is a Diagnostic Radiologist.

She graduated from the University of Kansas with honors and distinction in Chemistry, Biochemistry and a minor in Biology. She is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society for graduating in the top five percent of the University of Kansas. Her master's level research in medicinal chemistry also earned her awards for excellence.

Dr. Alpers attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine where she was awarded membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society for being in the top ten percent of her medical school class. She also received the Perlmutter award for being the most outstanding medical student in radiological science. She completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, University Hospitals of Cleveland.

Dr. Alpers is certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology, …The Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Breast Imaging, Roentgen Ray Society, the South Dakota Medical Association, and the Seventh District Medical Society.

Dr. Alpers and husband Mark, have three daughters.
