Joslyn Jose, MD is a cardiothoracic surgeon committed to providing high-quality, personalized care for every patient. He chose this specialty because of its complexity, the attention to detail it requires and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through both surgical skill and compassionate care. Dr. Jose has special interests in the surgical treatment of coronary artery disease, heart valve disease and aortic aneurysms. He also performs minimally invasive procedures for lung cancer and mediastinal masses. He enjoys the challenge of creating individualized treatment plans and helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes. Inspired by his parents, who immigrated to the United States and built a new life through hard work and determination, Dr. Jose brings the same values of dedication, integrity and perseverance to his practice. Outside of work, Dr. Jose enjoys mentoring students interested in healthcare careers, reading, traveling and …spending time with his family. He is also an avid fan of Notre Dame athletics, the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Pistons. In his spare time, he enjoys playing pick-up basketball, although he is quick to say his enthusiasm for the game is greater than his talent.My approach to care is rooted in respect, compassion, humility and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
