Dr. Jourdan Russell Gottlieb

Dr. Gottlieb did my surgery and I am very displeased. I hate it but he won't fix the mistakes. I spent so much money. Also the day of my surgery I noticed he had a massive case of dandruff in his hair and even on his shoulders. Very gross.

Dr. Gottlieb is very pleasant with a quiet demeanor. He did a facelift for me in 2008. What a great job! It has lasted for a long time. I am just beginning to see a few wrinkles. Not bad for a 70 year old woman! I can't think of anything negative about Dr. Gottlieb, the services he provides or his office staff.

This happened several years ago and I never had an opportunity or the stomach to review Dr. Gottlieb before. But the results are ongoing. Like another reviewer-he has a very sweet demeanor and I felt comfortable. I had him do liposuction of my upper arm flab using "Smart Lipo" a new procedure that was supposed to "firm and tighten" the skin. I had it done and my right arm showed no result. I went back in and he was slightly irritated but agreed to re-do the right arm. After the healing period, I noticed a huge dent on the top of my arm and dents and wrinkles under my arm. The skin was also very loose, sagging down. He took out too much fat! I brought this up, and he said he didn't "see" what the issue was. With my left arm being fine, it was easy to compare. He was annoyed. He finally said he could try to fix it by removing MORE fat!! That is the last thing that was needed, even I knew that! Then, he said we could see about putting fat back in, though he didn't know how to do it.… But that he was going to a seminar put on by a gynecologist (I kid you not) about doing fat transfer. I couldn't believe my ears and I knew I would not let him touch me again. Its been 5 years and my arm looks horrible. Everywhere he liposuctioned has loose wrinkly skin. I've been to 3 plastic surgeons asking if anything can be done and they won't touch it. They say "lipo suctioning upper arm fat is very risky-much like inner thighs-skin is very thin and can leave dimples" so I have a deformed arm that I can't wear short sleeves that nothing can fix. My advice is to stay away from Dr. Jourdan Gottlieb. He SHOULD have told me that this procedure is not recommended.

I am quite surprised that the other reviews here have been so positive - because my experience was quite different. Oh yes, Dr. Gottlieb was charming & friendly initially, but as soon as something was wrong, following the augmentation surgery, he was irritable, dismissive and demeaning to me, implying that the problem was me, not the job he did that destroyed my breasts, particularly the nerves. Since the surgery, not only is all of the pleasant/ sensual sensation gone from my nipples, but they are extremely painful, even to the slightest touch. Now I can't stand for my husband to touch my breasts because it is so painful & unpleasant. When I had a baby & breast fed some years after the surgery, the pain was indescribable! Like razor slashes every time my daughter nursed. Furthermore, the right breast implant is too far over to the right, & there is hardly enough tissues to 'hold it in' so to speak. Whenever I lay on my right side, there is a very uncomfortable pulling sensation. And… this is now 6 years later. The implants are also bigger than I had requested, having wanted a full B cup. Shortly after the surgery, when I had been dismissed by Dr. Gottlieb and was feeling so dismayed about the outcome, I got a second opinion from a well respected plastic surgeon in Bellevue and he agreed that far too much of the breast tissue had been carved away and that the right breast was positioned too far to the right. The only solution this surgeon could offer was doing it over.... I just wish I had gone to him in the first place! I encourage you to go with a different doctor - do not be swayed by Dr. Gottlieb's initial, very charming facade.

Dr did my recent breast reduction and I could not have been more pleased. The swelling is minimal, as is the bruising and draining. My expectations were exceeded and I am very pleased I had him to my surgery.

i went their to get breast implanta and was so nervous and scared. they turned out great. a little bigger than i had anticipated but i still love them

Dr. Gottlieb is such a sweet and gentle person. He does not for one second make you feel uneasy about the procedures, and is so caring. I truly felt like I was unique, but he sees MANY patients, so he has the ability to make you feel at ease. The office staff are great, and the experience has been wonderful. What a wonderful change
