Dr. Joy Christen Commisso, MD

The Worst!!! You wait longer than you actually see her. Waited 45 minutes in the room alone. Took 1.5 hours off of work thinking that was plenty of time for a follow up appointment and was late going back to work because of how long my wait was. She is beyond quick and shows zero efficiency. She tries to justify any ailments you express to her as "not a big deal" and refuses to actually LISTEN and help her patients out. She is ALWAYS miserable when I see her. Not sure why she even got into medical care when it seems like the furthest thing she wants to actually do.

I was a patient and will no longer be. I went to a cancer dr. had a blood test and my kidneys were shut down went to the hospital and had a specialist. he said it may have been an antibiotic i was prescribed. Dr commiso insisted it was because i did not drink rnough water and when i needed another antibiotic i was told i had to take the same one that may have caused kidney shut down She is someone i do not trust with my life any longer.

Dr Commiso does not like when you question the medication she prescribed. She becomes rude and controversial. The whole piracy is very rude and nasty.

I have seen Dr. Commisso twice in the last two months and both times she was friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. She is a little shy (as am I) but is very funny once she opens up. I would recommend her as a PCP to anyone who is looking for one.

Dr. Commisso, while working for a practice that touts being patient-centric, is quick to end a conversation and leave me hanging. I have a lot of health history to share and I was left feeling like what I had to say was not important. Plus, she does not do a physical exam on me.

Staff is condescending and extremely rude. Dr is also rude. Does not listen to anything. Dr just tries to push anything as if its all for the insurance money. Does not pay attention. Staff will not give appointment unless they get info that should only be between you and the dr. Questionable regard to. Hippa. Does not follow her own patient dr paper agreement. Sends you all over for irrelevant. And overly expensive test that have nothing to do with the aliment.

Not confident, not communicative, pushy for unrelated testing, doesnt listen to full story doesnt ask any questions. Unfortunately horrible experience with office staff being rude as well

Doesn't listen, is very quick to leave the room like she has a time limit. Each time I have been there I don't think she has been in the room "listening" to my symptoms more than 10 mins. I don't go to the Dr unless there is something wrong so it's not like I am constantly there.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I really want to prevent people from experiencing what I did. Dr. Commisso is not a good doctor. She’s unfriendly, she doesn’t seem to have any idea what she’s talking about, dismisses valid concerns, ignores what you’re saying, and then goes off on tangents about loony medicine. I was so disappointed about my visit with her that I will never go there again. Some people are just not meant to be doctors and she’s one of them.
