Dr. Joy Field
Dr. Field graduated From Baylor College of Dentistry with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1998. She received her Masters of Science in Oral Biology and finished her residency in Endodontics in March of 2002 from Baylor College of Dentistry where she served as Chief Resident during her third year. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and The North Texas Dental Society where she served on the Board of Directors for the 2007-2008, 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 years. She is an associate member of the Dallas County Dental Society and served on the New Member Committee in 2002-2003. She is a member of The Southwest Society of Endodontists, The DFW Endodontic Society, The Interdisciplinary Club of Esthetics and Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. She served on the Board of Directors of the Rite to Smile Charity in 2005 and was on the Rite to Smile Charity Committee 2006 and 2007. She has served as Session …Host and Clinician Host at the Southwest Dental Conference 2005 - 2009.
While in her doctoral training, Dr. Field was awarded a National Institute of Health/National Institute of Dental Research Traineeship Grant, The Kate Rieves Scholarship, and The Dr. Maurice Brett Dental Implant Award.
Since graduating, Dr. Field has been in practice in the DFW area and has been named as one of America’s Top Dentists by The Consumer’s Research Council of America, Texas Super Dentists by Texas Monthly Magazine and Best Dentists in Dallas by D Magazine.
She has lectured around the country on a variety of subjects including: The Management of Traumatic Injuries to Young Permanent Teeth, Endodontic Diagnosis and Treatment, The Success Rate of Single-Visit Root Canal Treatment and presented her dental research such as Immunohistochemical Similarities and Differences between Amelogenin and Tuftelin Gene Products during Tooth Development. She has given research clinic presentations on topics such as The Incidence of Pulpal Necrosis in Teeth Adjacent to Osteotomy Surgeries and The Effectiveness of Electrochemically Activated Water on Canal Disinfection at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Sessions. She was featured in the Doctor of Dentistry Magazine and has been published in The International Endodontic Journal and The Journal of Immunohistochemistry and Cytochemistry.
Her charitable contributions have included being a Rite to Smile Charity Sponsor and she has donated her endodontic services with The Children’s Oral Health Center, Kiwanis Club, The Lost Boys of the Sudan, Give Kids a Smile Foundation and through the Nurse’s Program with public schools in Collin County.
She lives in Frisco with her husband Brady and their two sons. When she is not working she loves spending time with her family, photographing her children and loves to read.
