Dr. Joy Marlaine Hudson, MD

I saw this woman in the '90s and she's terrible. She talks to you for 5 minutes and then drugs you up on something to get you out as fast as possible. If you seem a little better she'll increase whatever random meds she threw you on; if you seem worse, she'll decrease it...a monkey could do her job. She doesn't seem to have any training in anything. After 3 years of this, she asked if I had considered seeing a therapist...I thought that was what I was seeing HER for! I lost a ton of weight while seeing her because I had OCD which she wasn't treating. Her solution? GAIN MORE WEIGHT. Finally years later I found trained therapists who helped me and admitted they were having to "undo the damage" caused by unqualified people like Dr. Hudson. This lazy woman should have her license revoked. She's everything that's wrong with the mental health industry.

Uses abusive language. Attempts to make patient look bad. Considers off-label use of certain medications as first resort. Seems to be stuck in the 1960s era of "medicine."

God-awful. Avoid. Doesn't seem to have any training at all in anything

My brother and I both had OCD in the '90s. Unfortunately, we both saw this woman. Instead of explaining the therapy options for treating OCD, she drugged us up on things that never worked for years. She seemed completely unaware of all the options for treating this disorder. She seems "nice" but is totally unqualified. Today I'm luckily seeing someone at UCLA who is "undoing the damage" done by people like Dr. Hudson.
