Dr. Joy S Stiefel, DO

Dr. Stiefel takes the time to talk to and understand her patients. She is very responsive and has built an extensive network of specialists.

Dr Staiefel is the worst Dr. we have ever been to. She is late, doesn't treat her secretary with respect, more interested in talking about her politics, and gossip (during our fist visit she was telling us about why she fired one of her employees that we didn't even know). She is not up to date with her knowledge and she needs to look up on the internet to be able to explain her diagnostics and on top of that she makes you come into the office for multiple unnecessary appointments just to get your money. I would not recommend her to anyone I know and would highly recommend not going to her

Dr Stiefel is very thorough and is always concerned about your overall health. She takes her time and explains everything. You will leave with a complete list of what was discussed and any “to do” items.

Pushes you to take antidepressant even though you have other health conditions. Her knowledge in medicine is extremely outdated. I found her very judgemental and not very professional.

Terribly rude.

Dr. Stiefel has been my doctor for over 10 years and she has been my kids' doctor since my oldest was 1yo. She takes the time to know you as a patient but also to know about what is going on in your life that could be affecting your health. She is very thorough and will personally follow up with you. We are extremely happy with her as our family doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr Stiefel's for nearly 15 years. I followed her to three different clinics and am now seeing her at her private practice. I can't say enough good things about Dr Stiefel - she is thorough, detail oriented and always follows up. She takes time to do her own research on pharmaceuticals and I've seen her first hand turn away drug company reps, telling them she likes to get her own info about drugs as opposed to hearing their sales pitches. That impressed me and assured me that she wouldn't prescribe drugs without confidence in them first. I have seen her for routine exams, chronic illness and even mental health issues and I have received excellent care throughout. Now that Dr Stiefel has her own practice, she dedicates more time to each patient - no more 3 minute appointments - so I've found her care even more thorough.
