My wife was treated with injections to her neck. Dr. Kim is amazing bc she will try different things and do surgery as a last resort. Amazing staff!

I read 3 negative post and believe 2 of them have the wrong person after being her patient for more than 2 yrs. The post about her humiliating a big guy? I was 450lbs when I met Dr. Kim and she has been very patient and supportive as I've lost weight. So I believe the 3rd post to have the wrong person also.

I'm a big guy. There are limits to which the clinics won't allow her to do certain procedures. Dr. Kim and her staff have been very nice and professional while treating my pain until I can lose enough weight to have the procedure. Dr. Kim and her staff are wonderful, professional and caring people. Thank you

Horrible bedside manner.Offered No Answers, Options or hope in improving my quality of life. The website says she specializes in headaches but her assistant gave me the option of one medication. He told me that is all she prescibes to patients. Then referred me to a neurologist through her assistant. She never would speak to me directly about anything. Outstanding doctors in her practice but how she ever became part of the team is baffling.

I went to her for extreme chronic pain from serious injuries from a car crash when I was a child. I tried everything that she recommended, including cortisone shots in my back but at that time the pain medication was all that helped. I was on the lowest dosage and asked her if I could go up a little but she refused. Then one month my dosage changed at the pharmacy to the one I asked for and I thought she did it. It helped a lot and I was able to sleep and function that month but she realized the change when I went back in and thanked her, and she cut me back down to the previous dosage. She also lied to me and claimed the pharmacy made the mistake. I went to the pharmacy and they printed it out and showed me that she had written it like that. So then I was stuck at the much lower dosage and she didn't help me come down to it slowly. When I questioned her she threatened to take even that away from me. I don't feel like she listens to anyone and is rude to her patients and will lie to… your face.

I am only giving them one star because it will not let me post without it. I have been a Patient of Dr. Joyce Kim since last Sept - I have received 2 sets if injections in the spine since then. I am a big guy - not so much obese but pretty muscular and thick boned. I have never been so humiliated as I was today - It seems the Clinic has suddenly decided to change the rules that if a person has a BMI over 50, they cannot receive medical attention at this Clinic. I have a BMI of 52. The Humiliation that I endured today was beyond reproach. Dr. Kim knew about these new rules and still booked me to have injections today and then refused to treat me other than Humiliate me - the whole staff treated me like I was a HUGE OGRE because I did not fall within their rules. They did not take into consideration that I am muscular and have heavy bone structure from a pituitary condition. So prepare yourself to be humiliated if you do not fit into a certain BOX. I will never recommend this Clinic or… Dr. Joyce Kim again.
