Dr. Joyce C. Peji, MD

Yikes. Simply put, she prescribed medicine I didn't need (which her own office + staff confirmed for me on my next visit). I took the (colonoscopy) medicine for a CT (but I wasn't supposed to even have it because I had no colonoscopy scheduled-- still don't). You'd have a more competent doctor with anyone else in my view. Would stay away.

Inpatient and rude and she doesn’t care choose another doctor there’s a lot out there in this same area

I am not one to write reviews. However Dr. Peji is shockingly arrogant, rushed, cold, uncaring and rude. So much so I felt compelled to leave a review. She doesn’t even pretend to care. She came recommended by my other health care providers so she must be intelligent or skilled in her field? However I don’t care how intelligent you are, you are not omniscient. Sometimes actually listening to your patients for more the allotted 10-20 seconds you seem to be able to tolerate at max, could provide valuable perspective or information that changes initial assumptions. The impression you convey is that nothing your patient has to say is of even remote interest or value to you. Rather, you convey we are an irritating waste of your time. If you want a doctor that listens or cares, Dr Peji is not your doctor.

I hope someday, Dr. Peji, you have health concerns that sincerely worry you. And when that happens, I hope you get treated by someone that offers the exact same level of patience, care and empathy you extend to your patients. MAYBE at that point in your life you will come to appreciate how utterly cold and uncaring you come across to people who come to you for help. If you feel you can be that way because you are intelligent and good in your field? Get over yourself. There are many who are good in their field who also display emotional intelligence - along with humility, patience, empathy and care.

I believe she is competent but had a terrible bedside manner. She rushes you and doesn't really seem to listen.

I knew I should I listensed to the reviews on this website and another I found for Dr. Peji. Do I believe she’s is knowledgeable? Yes, but does she seem like she really cares? Not at all! I appreciate not having to wait hours for an appointment, but I expected time with the Dr longer than 10 minutes. I know typically a Gastro diagnosis cannot be made just by pushing on someone’s stomach, but a little compassion of my issues would have been great or maybe at least act like you care about the people who are paying you . I typically never write on a Dr but I was at a loss of words when I left and feel like I wasted money to see her. I should have known better when I was able to call and get an appointment with her the very next day. That never happens! Maybe they should have told me something. If you are looking for a Dr. with very little compassion and you want an under 10 minute appointment and like to feel rushed, she’s the one for you. She wanted me to have a colonoscopy… and another test, but not a chance I would ever let her touch me. I’m sure there are much better Dr’s in the practice, please do your research.

I love Dr. Peji! She is so very caring and has a wonderful bedside manner. She is thorough and intentional in her care. You won't find a better doctor. I have been with her for 5 years and have also taken my daughter to see her. We both have Celiac's disease. Dr. Peji does a great job!

Almost cost me my life. So rushed I had to have surgery due to her inexperience.

I found Dr Peji to be professional knowledgeable and approachable and I would highly recommend her.

I felt very rushed but she seemed to be somewhat knowledgeable and recommended next steps. She wasn't warm at all and I didn't feel comfortable but she's the only doctor that was available at the time. I prefer Dr. Sonnenshine.
