Dr. Joyce Rachel Talavera, MD

Doctor Joyce Talavera, MD is a very good Doctor, I have a problem with my feet and my legs, because during the war I had frostbite on my legs and my feet. I was separated from the Army I went to the VA and they told me that there was not record, there was a fire and maybe they got burned I remember the U.S, army doctor last name was Carpenter and a German civilian Doctor took care of me, I had no feeling on my legs and feet and he put me in a bath tub with warm water, I stayed there for about 15 minutes and I did that every 3 hours for about 1 week, also at same time a soar throat and they gave penicillin which I became red all over my body and the German civilian Doctor said you are allergic to penicillin do not worry we are going to give other antibiotic, make sure when you go back to the USA tell your Doctor about it. I am 89 years old I am feeling poor bad, I fell 27 times in 1 month. I walk with a walker, thanks to Doctor Talavera ordering it.

I came for pain in my leg and was told it was just anxiety.. She didn't tell me it was anxiety but wrote it in my chart. I only saw her as my regular doctor was booked up. When I saw him he told me to get new shoes with a better arch support, my leg pain is gone now and I love my new supportive shoes! Dr. Talavera wasn't helpful and wasn't even concerned with being helpful.

I make appointments in the morning and still waiting over 45 minutes. How can you be so backed up at 9 am on Monday morning. Doctor is fine, but needs to manage time better or make longer appointments.

If I could give her no stars I would. I've had severe burning in my mouth and she looked inside for a second told me to take Advil because she doesn't know why it's burning and walked out. No tests no nothing. Absolutely awful

Doctor is very nice woman, but she does not return called after office visit. I had questions, called her office 3-4 times, only can talk to nurse.

I would recommend Dr. Talavera to others. I like her bedside manners, her friendly personality. It makes a patient feel more at ease when a doctor is caring and kind. This is how a doctor "should" be.
