Dr. Juan Carlos Acevedo-Crespo, MD

Dr. Acevedo-Crespo is a good doctor. He knows a lot and is very kind. The front desk personnel are not pleasant. The so called Office Manger that does the Check Out is not professional or polite. I was charged a copay that I was not suppose to be charged and after me calling my insurance company I was informed that I had met the OOP and the Deductible that I did not have to pay anything that I was covered at a 100%. I told the Office Manager told me that I had to pay the co-pay because in the system it shows that I had a copayment. I showed her from my phone the actual page where it shows $0.0 Copay Deductible met and Out Of Pocket but she didn't want to hear it. He gentleman that I had on the phone mentioned how they can bill UHC and even provided a telephone number where she can call to verify the information, but she didn't want to hear it either. I explained to the Doctor what has happening but he didn't help either. So they have lost me as a patient and have also shared this… in multiple websites and Social media. I have never had this experience and I don't wish this on anyone. They are double dipping charging the patient and the insurance. I don't recommend this office to anyone!

Dr. Acevedo-Crespo is a doctor I would recommend to any and all. After my previous pulmonologist, who was also amazing, left the state I was concerned I wouldn’t find another good doctor I could trust. Unfortunately like many people, I haven’t had the best luck finding doctors I find trustworthy. I felt so fortunate to find this dr. My experience during my appointments has been great at every turn. From his front desk staff, to scheduling, nurses, and him, I don’t have any complaints. This is how all doctor’s should be.

Excellent practitioner, I had noted that he shows true concern for his patients. It was a pleasure to work with him at Miami Heart Institute. I consider him one of the best in the field of internal medicine/ pulmonology.
