Dr. Juan Manuel Lopez, MD

Removed excess skin after near 10lb baby. Did not follow the diagramof the plan which were 2 small incisions, one vertical, one horizontal. Without my permission, cut one long horizontal scar across abdomen. I was so upset, what could I do? No going back now. He sewed a new bellybutton 2 inches below my old one. It looks weird. You can see dark spot through skin where old one was. I only had to be taped once in my military career and because of this change, my bellybutton is now at the widest portion of my waist. He said he thought I would like it better with just one scar. I tried to see the black female Ombudsman (don't know her name) afterwards, left vmail, left not on dry erase board on door and once knocked on her door and as I walked away, she stepped out, locked door and ran off. I had to face Dr. Lopez again to remove the dog ear flaps at the ends of my scar. The whole point of the surgery was to remove the wrinkles and I still have them, they just no longer cover my… bellybutton. Traumatizing. Didn't want to have sex after that nor did I wear 2 piece swimsuit.

Dr. Lopez did my breast implants back in 2007, while I was station at Ft. Gordon. Dr. Lopez is a phenomenal plastic surgeon and I'm glad to say that I am highly satisfied years later. The incisions can barely be seen, no leakage, scaring, he listed to my concerns and he's just an overall excellent doctor. I can't say enough about him. I would highly recommend.
