Dr. Juan Antonio Maldonado, MD

The front desk hardly answers the phone. I've tried to schedule an appointment for 2 weeks and nothing, not even an option for voicemail comes up. When one of the front desk employees finally answered yesterday I said "oh, awesome you answered! I was wondering if you guys changed your number or closed your office." At that moment the lady was very condescending and disrespectful. Stating that they ALWAYS answer. When I told her that was not the case she said I must have had the wrong number (which I had the right one) and just kept telling me I was wrong. Instead of de escalating the situation she took the latter, pretty much saying I'm a liar in my perception. Throughout the conversation I was respectful and courteous but she wasn't. I've had similar problems before with the front desk here but this is ridiculous. Dr. Maldonado is a good doctor though, but it's a shame his employees don't care about how they talk to or treat his patients. In the end, all the front desk lady had… to say was "I apologize sir, I'm not sure what happened, perhaps we were really busy or there was an issue with our phones. But, how can I help you today?" That's it, that's all she had to say and we could've moved on. But no, she chose unprofessionalism, zero respect and zero customer service. Don't make the same mistake I did. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Apparently not all reviews were taken. I had been a pt. Of dr. Maldonado, when my care became more complicated, due to pain, he refered me to another dr. He didn't want to bother with me. My husband and I thought he was the best. Now we realize he wasnt. I broke my ankle required 2 major surgeries. After 1st surgery he came in to the room no smile, said I'm discharging you. You've been here 5 days. I informed him I was having major surgery next day. He repeated I'm discharging you and walked out. He was down right cold. He also lost 2 wonderful staff,due to his way of thinking. He pushes his religion. We haven't had any contact with him in yrs. When I found another pcp, he refused to treat my pain. I would go to his office in tears, vomiting. And his response was " dr. Maldonado told me about you" . God knows what Maldonado told him. I was being judged,I was devastated. Dr. Maldonado calls himself a devote catholic. Jesus didn't run the other way, or judged people when it got… complicated. He treated mary magdalena, he forgave those that crucified him. Now I have 2 very ,very wonderful, christian Drs. ,that don't judge. They treat my pain, they care for me physically, medically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, .they listen to me, and my family. Dr. Maldonado, reread the bible. My husband and I depended on you, and you ran away. Then told other drs. God knows what. It took me years to find a wonderful true dr.

Very attentive to my needs. Spends time to explain everything thoroughly. Have been seeing him for years and wouldn't change for the world. Staff is very nice and cordial.

Dr Maldonado is a very caring Dr, that is he is one Dr that shows he really does care for all his patients. I feel very blessed to have him on my side. Highly recommend.
