Dr. Juan Jose Pineda, MD

Dr. Pineda was my primary care doctor and my gastrologist for over 2 decades. His office manager made him "fire me" as his patient because I was able to get a sleep study test scheduled after she had told me it would be the following year before she could get it scheduled. He said that he had to work with her every day and that I had over-ruled her and offended her. BTW, I tested positive for sleep apnea, and he's (they) are not concerned about patients well-being. I'm really glad that he's (they've) retired!

Because we had emergency out of town , then when we returned to COLUNBIA there was another emergency here and to all this we contacted the office to excuse ourselves and arrange another appointment which was kept the Dr said he no longer would care for my needs nor give me prescriptions for my high blood pressure, diabetes, and blood clots. It was asked for the Rx until I could find another doctor. Very dangerous situation for anyone to be placed in. And all our emergencies were air fare documented and the last one was documented at University Vet hospital. Pray no one goes through this.

I’m lucky to be alive! Waited in the procedural room 50 minutes. He was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. He brought his son with him but no nurse. After the produce he left me to wait another 35 minutes looking at the bloody mess on the table. There were no instructions as to how I was to care for myself. The suppository I was to get was available at Walgreens. I have never been treated so badly by a doctor. There is no excuse for his attitude and unprofessionalism.

Dr. Pineda performed a Colonoscopy on me a while back. Within 4 hours I was in the emergency room for a perforated colon...a 9 day hospital stay....and two weeks of complications after that compel me to say He Blew It! Dr. Pineda's rationale "I didn't do it, it was just bad luck." However he was ordering a cat scan every day I was in the hospital, even though I fired him, to cover HIS OWN 3-LETTER WORD! I'm not the only patient he's had that experienced this from him. So make your own choices, I for one will never let him near MY 3-letter word again. I should have sued him.

He is a very compassionate, caring doctor. I have recommended many to him.

The staff is pleasant, availability of appointments is reasonable. The Dr, himself, is considerate, makes an awkward situation business like, afterwards you find a gentle, experienced doctor, with the ability to get to the problem and schedule a solution or observation quickly. I like this man, he is a good doctor, also an all around friendly man.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST DOCTOR EVER. Cares about his customers. Calls to check up with you.

I was recently diagnosed with a severe case of Crohns Disease by Dr. Pineda. I went to my regular doctor with extreme stomach pains, and other severe symptoms, it all happened so fast by the next day I was having a colonoscopy, and an upper endoscopy done by Dr. Pineda and his team at Columbia Endoscopy Center (which Dr. Pineda is a co-owner of). All of the staff from the nurses, anesthesiologist, to check-in they were all so nice. I will trust Dr. Pineda, and his staff for all my health care needs.
