My son with an intellectual disability sees Dr. Juan Verastegui as his PCP. I am with him in his examinations, and take notes on the information I learn from the nurses and the doctor. I continue to be impressed by Dr. Verastegui's knowledge, competency and thoroughness, as well as his friendly and kind way of relating to my son. He is also very cheerful, which my son really responds to. I am very grateful that my son is in his care. I have seen many fine doctors in my life, but Dr. Verastegui is a stand-out.

The woman receptionist was extremely rude. They offered an appointment the next day which I appreciated but my elderly father wasn't able to take it due to a lack of a ride. "Well..you didn't want that one so you need to wait until October." "You can't drive him yourself?" She didn't realize I am not local. I felt judged, shamed and like she took pleasure in telling me how far out the next appointment was.
