My son was born with severe aortic stenosis..at 28 days old he underwent his 1st of 4 open heart surgeries, dual chamber pacemaker dependent at a yr old...Dr. Villifane' has treated him since then.. Jonathan has had the best Drs. in the world provide him with the ability to live, Jonathan is now 34 yrs old and is a mechanic, carpenter and works in the lab drawing blood at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville Ky. He is the father of two young boys and has been through more than a child should ever have to go through.. I honestly don't know where or what we would have done if not for the Drs. God has blessed us with !??.

My son has seen Dr. V. for 13 years and we have always been well informed of his conditiion. Never had any trouble or issues with the staff or doctor. I feel Dr. V cares greatly for his patients and follows up after visits when necessary.

My nephew was referred to Dr. Villafane for new onset chest pain and rapid heart rate by his primary doctor. First impression, a nurse was observed coating the exam room with lysol for ten to twenty seconds. My sister explained to the staff that my nephew has bad asthma and when he had trouble breathing upon entering the room, the staff insisted that they had to keep the area clean and that the "air should clear up". An EKG and echo was done and were both deemed normal. (Mind you this new onset happened two or three times last week and not since) No other tests were going to be ran at this time, which is what you would expect for a kid with a currently normal heart rate. During the echo, the technican instructed my nephew to keep one hand above his head and the other hand at his side and not to move them. He coughed without covering his mouth because he was doing what he was told by an authority figure and the technican rudely stated "I'm going to ask that you not do that without… covering your mouth". Finally, my nephew was diagnosed with sinus arrhythmia, which I am confused how you can diagnose a heart rhythm if it is not present on an ekg. Sinus arrhythmia is a catch all term for not knowing the exact cause. There was a communication barrier with my sister and the physican. She did feel that the physican was frustrated with her because she could not understand everything he was saying. She did ask general questions about my nephew's sinus arrythmia regarding causes, symptoms, and precautions. Instead of an informative conversation, he gave her a pamplet and told her there was a website where she could look the information up. Overall, the experience was unacceptable by healthcare professional standards. They will not be returning to see him.

Dr V. has been a a doctor for our family for over 20 years for both my husband and my son. He has always taken the time to ensure we knew what was going on. Additionally at the time my husband was lost to non heart problems he continued to show care and concern for him and my family
