My first visit with Dr. Amaning and I know that I finally found my new GI doctor. Dr. Amaning did a thorough interview to learn my history, and that indicates to me that she will provide the best care possible for my condition. She asked questions of me and refocused my attention when I went off topic! She explored my history and she was very focused on all the details and events leading up to this visit. With that information, she formulated a plan for my care and I feel confident that I will receive outstanding care with Dr. Amaning. This was a very important visit because I left an Austin GI practice outside of BSW that dropped the ball on my care from the start. I am very pleased that once again, yet another BSW specialist will be part of my care team. I am also a patient of two other specialists at BSW, and without hesitation, I recommend Dr. Amaning.

Friendly, courteous and professional Shows concern for my health and well-being

The provider is very professional and courteous. I was allowed to explain my symptoms as well as asked detailed questions( I conducted research about my symptom and possible medications to combat the issue). She also is very observant as she notice I had a huge purple and black bruise on my arm from a medical procedure the week prior ( vein collapsed causing a bruise when a nurse was trying to administer an IV line ). I can appreciate her concern inquiring what happen, as I am sure she would have provided resources if the bruise was not cause by the unsuccessful event.

Dr Amaning was very thorough in her exam and questions about my health issues. It was easy to her about my gastro concerns. She is personable and caring. I felt that she had covered everything extremely well. I have a great deal of confidence in her. Overall, she is excellent!

This physician listened to what I had to say and suggested I contact a surgeon to remove a large hiatal hernia to help handle acid reflux. In all the years I have suffered with this problem no one has suggested this! I am taking her suggestion and have scheduled an appointment to see a surgeon.
