Dr. Judson D. Chaney, ND

Dr. Judson Chaney is a Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist. He received an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on neuroscience from Rutgers University. He earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and his Master in Science of Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Institute at the University of Bridgeport. After graduation, he was invited to serve as an Adjunct faculty member, teaching future clinicians courses on Anatomy, Clinical Hydrotherapy, and “ Physician Heal Thyself,” a philosophy course emphasizing self-care for health care providers.

Dr. Chaney began his clinical career in 2006 in Naturopathic Family Medicine in southeastern Connecticut. In 2008, Dr Chaney began pursuing an interest in providing oncology acupuncture care. He began to serve as an Oncology acupuncturist alongside medical oncologists at Burlington County Hematology Oncology and Mercer Bucks Hematology …Oncology. He is proud to serve as the first acupuncturist within a medical oncology practice in New Jersey. Judson now brings his passion for health and wellness to Hackensack Meridian Integrative Health and Medicine.

Since 2016, he has served as an acupuncturist for HMH. He has helped to create educational and experiential programs and content to serve and support the system and community’s health and well-being. Dr. Chaney has helped create a group acupuncture program at HMH and has created and presented both live and virtual programs to improve health and reduce stress on topics such as resilience, activity, self-care, and healthy eating. Judson is an advocate for empowering self-care. He has helped lead by example by creating and hosting a 21-day meditation challenge and a dawn Qi Gong livestream to help the HMH community practice wellness and feel connected.

Dr. Chaney's motivation to practice medicine is deeply rooted in his experiences living with an autoimmune disease as a younger person. These experiences, among others, have significantly shaped his view of the mind and body connection in health and well-being. He is committed to empowering others to play an active role in their health and well-being.
