Have been a Patient of Judy Dean's for decades. Loved her office staff and environment. VERY dissappointed Pueblo Radiology has now taken over her practice. VERY.

I was called back for additional pictures on my annual screening mammogram. I went back for the additional pictures that were done by a tech. Then I received a form letter in mail saying everything was fine. My mother had breast cancer so I am very aware of the importance of my screenings. When I called and asked if the doctor could please let me know what on my original mammogram had caused concern and what they looked at with the additional pictures I had taken, I was told that I needed to make a new appointment with the doctor to discuss anything on my mammogram. She does not take insurance so I pay out of pocket hundreds of dollars for my mammogram plus pay for a whole breast ultrasound. Yet she can't even be bothered to return a quick phone call and tell me what the concern was with my mammogram. Just a form letter that says everything is fine. Terrible. I only ever see the tech and I am going to switch somewhere else as I don't see any benefit to paying for Judy Dean when she… never sees the patient or can be bothered with a follow up question. Just wants more $$ for that.

Not only does she have a horrible bedside manner (she was actually very rude when I asked to meet her after having the tech perform my mammogram; she apparently does not meet or touch the patients) but her review of my films was highly questionable. I took the films to a gynocologic oncologist in LA who totally disagreed with her evaluation, which saved me from the unnecessary surgery she had recommended.

Horrible experience. will never go back! I went for a regular check up. I've had a small lump for years, that I have had checked regularly and was told it was just fibrous tissue. She freaked out that I have never had it taken out, and urged me to have it removed. I was concerned because at the time, my insurance wasn't the best...but she assured me it would only be a couple hundred dollars. She really pressured me to have it taken out, so I reluctantly agreed.She numbed me and she was going to use a needle to aspirate it, she stuck the needle in. and started to tugged... she was whispering back and forth with her assistant, mind you I was right there, so I could here everything. The assistant said what is wrong, Judy Dean said the needle it stuck. So the rest of the time was trying to get the needle out, I was only numb on the surface,so every time she tugged, it was incredibly painful, It fibrous tissue ran deep behind my chest bones. It was excruciating. She finally… yanked the needle out, with only a tiny piece of tissue on it. They biopsied it, and low and behold, it was fibrous tissue, just like all the other doctors told me. I was swollen and bruised for a couple of week, and I still had the lump in me! It was horrible, and I was bummed I went through all of that, and still had the lump in...the thing that bugged me the most, was my bill. I got a bill for 1500 dollars!!!! I wrote a letter asking them to reduce it, no reply, I called several times, no reply...I kept getting bills. So I just ended up paying it. I felt, I shouldn't have been billed anything, for what she put me through, and she didn't even remove the lump. Do not go to her, you will be sorry, she is incompetent. Charges way too much for lousy service!

I've been seeing Dr. Judy Dean for years. She is fantastic! Her office manager is terrific as well. They workwith you on everything and very accommodating. She had the best machines before anyone else in the area. She's on top of her game.

I was referred to Judy Dean for a mammogram by my OB/GYN after sharing with my doctor that I felt lumps in my breasts and wanted to be checked out before I had another baby. Getting an appointment wasn't a problem, and Judy Dean's clinic was comfortable and the techs that performed the mammogram were kind and professional. It wasn't until I met with Judy Dean that I felt completely humiliated and attacked. She asked who referred me and why? Where is the phantom lump that she was supposed to feel but obviously wasn't there since she couldn't feel it? My statistics didn't check out - no breast cancer in the family, only 35 years old. What was I doing there wasting her time? She almost had me in tears. Why wouldn't a doctor that treats women be an advocate for preventative screenings? I would definitely not recommend her. The thought of how she dismissed me still makes me irate, thinking of those shy women who won't return until it's too late because of her belittling comments.

What a surprise it was to arrive at her office only to find out that my insurance was no longer accepted. No prior notice was given so now I'm trapped. I can't afford the hundreds of dollars a 5 minute appointment costs. I guess fighting cancer is not enough now I have to fight unethical business practices. If Dr Dean wants cash only that's fine but have some integrity and give your patients notice so they can save their pennies or make other arrangements
