Dr. Judy Buckman Splawski, MD

Snobbish, superior, and rushed. Turns from pleasant to extremely rude and dismissive on a dime. One gets the impression she’s been a doctor for so long now that she’s lost all patience for listening to what the patients are actually experiencing - preferring instead to rush to judgment and then just stop listening to anything the patient says. Rudest doctor I have ever dealt with.

She misdiagnosed me when I was around 8. Admitted me into the hospital all the time saying I would die if I wasn’t there. I have a mild case of chrons and all she did was prescribe med after med with no testing. The last time I was there and was anemic my own mother had to recommend she give me an iron infusion and her response was “that’s a good idea.” She told me I had a dairy intolerance at first. Then it moved to colitis and she even wanted to remove some of my colon. Good thing I waited until I was 16 and found an excellent doctor in Avon who told me “it’s mild and I find hospitals over rated” who then put me on a med, didn’t work so he ran tests and put me on another. He also regularly checked my iron and would set three infusions up for me to keep me in the right ranges. I’m now on humaira and I’m in remission. After being told I was going to die, I’m healthy and I’m remission.

In 1990 I became a patient of Dr. Splawski as a young boy. She diagnosed me accurately when 4 other doctors couldn't and implemented a treatment plan that helped change my life, giving me hope for the future. She was not only a great doctor, but an excellent mentor to a young child struggling with the realization of having an autoimmune disease. She was always hones with me and my parents, even if the information was hard to swallow, and because of that, my treatment was and remains to be a success.

I agree with the 1st review ... I had her in RBC & she was TERRIBLE !! No bed side manner. My child had been diagnosed by another Dr. at RBC & she said my child was not sick & I needed to leave there was nothing wrong with my child. Good way to lose patients RBC !!

Dr. Splawski majorly misdiagnosed my daughter. She flat out refused to answer any questions I had about her condition. Her bedside manner was completely appalling, and she alone has ruined my overall opinion of Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital in Cleveland Ohio, and University Hospitals in general.

Diagnosed my 13-yr. old daughter with Crohns Disease. Has been very caring and attentive during the visits, even though her symptoms are virtually non-existant. Very knowledgable and friendly. Takes the time to listed to the patient, even if only a young lady. Talks to her, not just to the parents.

Within six months she was able to treat my soon.Impressed.
