Dr. Julia Harriett Cohen, MD

In spite of this being the first time I've seen Dr Cohen, and it being first thing in the morning, she rushed in, did not introduce herself, asked what my area of concern was and treated the keratosis on my scalp with a cryotherapy spray (liquid nitrogen) without even telling me to close my eyes. When asked a simple question like "what causes this?", she replied "life". When asked about a biopsy and if she was sure it was non- malignant she responded, "biopsies don't prove anything. They can still be malignant or benign." Huh?! Her attitude was so dismissive, condescending and unprofessional the nurse/tech had to apologize. I get the feeling this happens all the time, especially after reading previous reviews. Now I know why she had availability, while none of the doctors did for months. The whole negative experience lasted all of 3 minutes and she walked out the door as I was asking a question. Very similar experience to others who posted reviews on this and other sites. No idea why… she's even practicing if she has such disregard for patients.

She rushed through my body face and scalp exam and said everything was fine I said that I have a list of concerns Dr. Cohen replied that she had other patients… I told her she was rushing and that I wanted to go over things. She listened but rushed and replied there was nothing that could be done about anything

This was my first appointment with Dr. Cohen at Bryn Mawr Skin and Cancer. She was a full hour late for my appointment. She did not apologize for being late and did not introduce herself. She had her back to me when she asked about my symptoms. She acted like she could not have cared less about my symptoms which had persisted for several months. She rushed in and out of the room talking rapidly while walking out. She gave the impression of being anxious and unwell emotionally. It is the worst experience I've had of a provider at Bryn Mawr Skin and Cancer. I work in healthcare so I know how a patient should be treated.

Dr. Cohen is sure experienced but she needs to spend more time to her patients and try to litsent to them. She is 10 years behind the technology, medicine, information, advice and ... when it comes to treat her patients. She needs an upgrade. She should stop to make fun of things; patients are sensitive when they are sick. Other docotors who work with her is a jok.
