Dr. Julia Theresa Donovan, MD

Find a different doctor. She’s unable or unwilling to do updated procedures. Another review said she disregarded meds for pain meds. This is very true. My experience with her was absolutely awful. I cannot go into details, but it’s probably time for her to retire.

Would recommend Dr. Donovan to any woman in need of a good and caring doctor. Very down home, earnest and genuine, quite disarming and even self-disclosing.

I feel very fortunate to have Dr Julia Donovan as my surgeon through these days of healing after a hysterctomy / cancer. I have phoned the office 3 times w/ questions and concerns and each time she came to the phone. I have NEVER had a doctor more vested in my recovery. She is compassionate and empathetic. The office staff is just as kind. THANK YOU.

Within weeks of being diagnosed with endometrial cancer I chose to have my surgery with Dr. Donovan. Having heard only positive things about her work I knew I was in the right hands. I met with her in her office where we spoke about the procedure in depth and I left with a complete understanding of what my options were and what was to be done. I had my surgery in the morning and once placed in a room one of the first faces I saw checking in on me was that of Dr. Donovan. In the morning soon after waking up Dr.Donovan was there once again checking in. Dr.Donovan explained the procedure that had been done again and all the after care of surgery that needed to be done to me so that I was fully aware. With the great attention and kindness shown throughout this process what could have been a scary surgery was just another procedure performed in the best hands possible.

This doctor performed surgery on my mother. she was supposed to finish a hysterectomy, but instead also cut my mothers uthiter tube, telling my parents "I didn't know what it was, when I cut it" when mom was back in her hospital room. The doctor then denied saying that later on. On follow up visits she did not listen to my mother, father or myself to what was going on & the amount of pain my mother was in. instead after a visit I took my mother to, the doctor write in her records that my mother was just looking for drugs. Later that day I had to take my mom to the er where they had to drain a really large pocket of urine & blood building up in my mothers body. It was after my parents malpractice lawsuit, they learned she had another malpractice lawsuit prior to theirs. I would not let this doctor operate on my dogs let alone a family member, friend or myself!

This Dr. did not appear to have the best interest of her patient in mind. She did not take kindly to any questions regarding additional care options or second opinions. She did not appear to have any interest in working with other Dr's. Follow up care was non-existant even though multiple complications resulted.
