Nicole is a top notch provider. Office manager not so much. She makes you uncomfortable and discourages you to ever go back.

I read all if the reviews prior to seeing Dr Irwin. I was pleasantly surprised during my visit. Very attentive...her evaluation was spot on. Enjoyed my visit.

Dr Irwin’s practice is outstanding! The best mental health clinic in Norman and one of the best in the OKC metro. I have known Dr Irwin’s nurse practioner, Nicole, for many years, since she was a psych RN, and she’s an outstanding provider and person. She’s knowledgeable, compassionate, has a big heart, and really cares deeply about her patients. Although she’s not technically a therapist, she’s really helped me over the years through the good and bad in my life. She’s a great listener, offers great guidance, and really cares. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for her. I would entrust my health and life to her any time. She’s an outstanding provider. I highly recommend Nicole and Dr Irwin’s practice. I also saw Dr Koch, psychologist, when he was at OUHSC, and he’s an outstanding therapist and really helped me a lot during some difficult times in my life. I’ve seen Dr. Irwin for 15 years and have always felt listened to. She is insightful and has done an excellent job managing my medications.

Psychiatrists are not counselors. They diagnose and treat. I started seeing Dr. Irwin when she had an office in Ardmore. I find her to be very personable and caring. She spent more time with me on my first visit and made sure she diagnosed me correctly. She is personable and definitely gives you advice when that's what you need. I too have seen Donna and I don't think she spends enough time with patients and I felt rushed and like she was in a hurry to see the next patient. She does not have Dr. Irwin's calming demeanor. I always feel like Dr. Irwin is truly concerned about and compassionate with each patient. I cannot say anything negative about her receptionist. I feel like she is so busy that she doesn't have time to be rude or personable. I highly recommend Dr. Irwin and her staff and would not go anywhere else.

Dr. Irwin is brilliant and stays up with current research. She had good ideas to manage my treatment resistant diagnoses. However, her office policies are unreasonably strict and authoritarian. If you are late for one appointment, you are fired. The reason or intention does not seem to matter. This is not patient-centered care, and it breaks any trust that has been built between provider and patient. Recommend looking elsewhere for mental health care that includes compassion and a human approach.

There is so much that needs to be worked on at this doctors office, from the rude front desk Lisa, the PA Dona that's not nice at all, she def. doesn't make you feel comfortable, I don't think she even knows how to smile, in a doctors office like this you should feel welcomed, seeing how it's hard to be there period for the reasons we all have to go there, but you don't feel welcomed or calm and they don't try to help with that in any way. Ideal with anxiety daily I don't need that office and everything about it making it worse, I have never not left there upset, they rush you in rush you out even if your crying and spilling your heart out, oops we've made it past 5 minutes time for you to go, we need your money and I will refill your scripts, out out....next! Dr. Irwin is nice and calming but she pretty much shoves everyone off to the PA or the others, and then it's just down hill, I've seen them all and its not fun, I don't like change so I have stayed there and it's been many many… years, but I'm not happy at all, looking for a new doctor, maybe someone, if I could just get someone friendly that would be great. I get it they have tons of patients, I'm not the only one, but it shouldn't matter, your a doctor that chose this field we are all more fragile therefore we should be treated as so! patients shouldn't have to dread going in to your office because the know it's going to be a negative experience all around! I'm going to leave it at that!! I would not recommend!

Office manager Teresa ruined 17 years of my Tim with Donna, the PA. Dr. Irwin hires poorly trained and ignorant staff. If you disagree with Tesesa she will LIE to Doctor Irwin, and Doctor Irwin will throw away years of work just to appease this poor excuse of a manager. Stay away. Find a real professional.
