Dr. Julia Ann Keating, MD

Dr. Keating has been my doctor for 20 years if not more. I have such faith in this woman. I've never had any concerns going to Dr. Keating. She's one of the BEST!

I went for a first appt. with Dr. Keating, whose staff had fit me in within one week of calling. When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and a professional attitude. The receptionist knew my name, who I was seeing, and the time of my appt. She had a clipboard ready with paperwork for me to fill out, and it wasn't generic--it just asked for info she didin't already have. The tech who took my vitals was friendly and efficient, and when I met Dr. Keating she was a pleasure. Easy to talk to, no nonsense, but not pushy. She made me feel safe in her hands, and was ready to work WITH me, not dictate orders to me. Scheduling follow-up appts. and getting Rx refills is a breeze. I am delighted to have found Dr. Keating.

A good physician who sees patients as people, not symptoms. Unfortunately, poor support staff make the overall patient experience less than desirable.Nursing support staff refuse to vary their routines to accomodate disabilities. Office staff doesn't communicate with each other and seems to have difficulty accurately transcribing or passing on messages. Calls to the nurse are not returned promptly, even though there is a 1:1 ratio of nurses to physicians in the office. (If you call early in the morning, you still probably won't hear anything back until close of business or the next day.) Ultimately, these things were so frustrating to me that I am once again doctor shopping....
