Dr. Julia Mchugh, MD

A few months ago, I had a TAVR heart valve installed, this is a problem with my excessive PVCs, trying to reach into the left ventricle. I was scheduled for Ablation. Dr. Mchugh explained the risks, potential damage to the new valve, perforation risk, etc., I'm 69 yrs old, still quite active, with decades of genetic heart issues & defects. "Go for it! Let's do it, I trust you - do whatever you can." Besides, I had been praying for God to guide her effort, and my life was already extended 2x before by brilliant surgeons - like Dr. Mchugh. Few Doctors can make you feel, confident & at ease, like Dr. Mchugh did, and she's the only one I can think of who took a few minutes to stop in my room, post surgery to check up on my recovery. My wife also received a couple of phone calls - this is the way, it SHOULD BE, IMO. From start to finish, as delicate as this procedure was, and it's risks - my wife & I honestly cannot thank Dr. Mchugh enough! My wife said she is a very thorough &… detail minded person to call her, without being prompted by anyone, to explain how things had gone. This is the first & only time I've ever sought out some kind of public way to THANK & RECOMMEND any Doctor / Surgeon. Does she like Chocolate...? My followup visit is 4-6 weeks from now, surgery was 12/8/2025, my strength & endurance is returning rapidly! Thank you, Dr. Mchugh! God has been very good to me!
