Dr. Julia Ann Melamed, MD

I went to Melamed for cool sculpting. After being talked into their 6 for 8 paddle "deal." I walked away hopeful. After I waited the 12 weeks to see results I noticed a hard large lump develop above my belly button. I did not know what it could be so I went to the doctor and they had me get an ultrasound. I have a hard mass of fat that had developed because of the Cool Sculpting procedure and its been 20 weeks now. I contacted the office explaining my situation also sending hospital records stating my condition that may never go away. I asked the office if they could refund me for my last 2 paddles since I will not go back to get this procedure. I have gotten the run around... phone calls not being returned and emails not being responded too. So I will now be out $1,500 because I do not want to take the chance of having another hard large lump on another spot on my body for the rest of my life. They do not care about customer service. They do not care about the health and well being… of individuals. This is a place who scams people. Don't go to them EVER!!!!

I am no longer with this practice. The quality of general practice is inferior and the doctor has involved her medical practice in fad diets and Laipo/body image products she is very concerned with making money and will add just about anything allowable. Every time I see this doctor advertising in Groupon I feel that it is my responsibility to alert the general public that Her medical practice is questionable.

I went there with coupon for I-lipo. Totally useless. Dr. Melamed is a liar, she promised that I will loose 3 inches from my waste, this was a complete lie. And then she tried to sell me HCG treatment, that I heard is useless and dangerous. Stay away from this doctor.

Dr. Melamed is a gift physician, knowledgeable, highly skilled and committed to providing her patient with unsurpassed medical care. During the 7 years I have been under Dr. Melameds care I found her to be exceptionally thorough in her diagnosis well being kind and compassionate.

Dr Melamed is a empathy-less person who is only out for money. As others have stated, she controls refills to accumulate as many copays as possible. She doesn't listen, and has no care for a patient's situation. When I asked for a 90-day mail order refill on meds I have taken for many years, to maximize my copay, she said that we weren't communicating and ended our patient/doctor relationship. She said to just not come back, after going there for about 9 years. Her staff is ignorant and careless. Once her receptionist put through a hold on my debit card for $85, when my copay was $30. I couldn't access those funds for days, due to her carelessness. Dr Melamed has an air of superiority that is very condescending. She has ZERO bedside manner. If you are looking for an understanding, empathetic, caring doctor, Dr. Melamed is NOT YOUR WOMAN!!!!!
