Dr. Julia Mary Quinn, MD

Very awkward presence. Also laughed in my face and told me "You're job doesn't have an Epidemiologist." right after I told her why I was advised to come in for a covid test, when it does. Condescending and assumptive, could not imagine speaking to a patient like that.

I had the worst experience with Quinn. I have an autoimmune issue that flares up from time to time causing terrible rashes. It started on the weekend (and I know how quickly it gets bad), so I rushed over to urgent care to get the prescriptions I always go on to it calm down. I just needed the prescriptions to calm the situation until I could get into my immunologist. She basically told me--first, that she thought it was acne (which is obviously isn't) and, once we had moved past that--- she implied that it was all in my head and that all I needed to do was relax and it would go away. Then, she insisted that I take a prescription for Xanax and seemed confident that would solve my problem. She would not give me any anti-inflammatories. Yes, a problem I've had for 5 years and have a few specialists working on is in my head. I went back to my immunologist two weeks later (soonest appt) and told him what happened. He was appalled and said that it is so obvious that it is an… autoimmune response. We just haven't been able to find the particular trigger yet. He wrote me my prescriptions, and I got better in 48 hours. She made me go to work for two weeks with a massive rash across the entirety of my face. I work with 300+ people a day. Thanks for that. Thanks for also implying I was doing it to myself. Believe me, I have tried everything to help this. I would never wish it upon anyone. I definitely wouldn't do it to myself. Her bedside manner is terrible and I have never had a doctor talk down to me in such a way. I am so glad medicine has moved past the 'hysterical woman' idea. I hope one day it will.

I went into Urgent Care after working 10 hours at the doctors office I work at with a migraine. It had only gotten worse as the day went on. The office closed at 7:00 I got there at 6:30. After getting called to the back and the nurse took all her info she needed to, I sat and waited. I waited for 1.5 hours because Dr. Quinn has to suture another patient up. She finally came in and I explained everything to her. She said “Sounds like a typical migraine. I’ll give you a RX for Fioricet” I told her I had already taken that earlier in the day and it did not help. All I wanted was answers as to why I was having the headaches. Because they were becoming an everyday thing. Her response was “I’m not a neurologist. So how about you tell me what you want from me because that makes my job easier and your life easier and we’ll both get out of here before 9:00 tonight” all I said back was okay just give me the Fioricet and I left. All she cared about was getting home that night. Not about her… patients. I will never be seen by her again. It was a waste of my money and my time.

Dr Quinn was everything I look for in a physician. Being newer to Athens I have been a bit worried about finding a new doctor should I need one. I feel some luck was on my side. Having been in many cities/areas she stands out as experienced yet current. I would recommend her to others in a minute.

I've never experienced such an unfriendly doctor in all my life. I left the office in tears. Feeling worse upon leaving than when I came in

Rude. Not very personable. Answered a phone call during my visit. Looked at me like i was stupid. Will never use this facility again.

Very pleased with Dr Quinn

Dr.Quinn is a fraud of a doctor. She took money to diagnose me and write expensive prescriptions for new medicine,when there were generic versions already available(obviously on the drug company payroll). I told her where the pain was and she ignored it(based on her patent notes of me). She is arrogant and does not listen to or care for the well being of her patients and will treat you crap. Oh ... please beware if you need paperwork filled out for your job "FORGET IT!!"She sees herself above it and will not fill them out correctly!
