Dr. Julia Ratner, MD

I'm not sure how anyone can say this doctor has great bedside manners. I dealt with her twice. Both times it was a disaster. She treated me like an Idiot both times. The third time, she refused to give me a referral as my PCP even though my insurance said it's necessary for my treatment. Never again will go see her. Absolute nightmare.

She is very rude. I made a mistake choosing her as my primary doctor. She treated me like I was a drug addict because I take a low dose anxiety medication. She is very condescending and neglects medical needs. She takes weeks to refill my prescription. She probably has a Napoleon complex or she had some drug issues herself but she is just obnoxious and very difficult to work with. I lost a lot of sleep in disbelief by the way she treated me.

I am sorry she seems likable enough but I had quite the opposite experience with her and can’t help but think the people who wrote positive comments are her relatives. And the office staff is the worst! They are so rude and condescending!!

All I needed was a referral to my insurance co.for a test I needed to take a.s.a.p.She wouldn't give me one until I saw her.The earliest appt.was in a week.My Neurologist had already sent a referral to the dept.that was going to give me the test. I told her spokes person that I was in a lot of pain. She told me to go to immediate care.It's very sad that NorthShore has a doctor like her.My insurance co.couldnt believe that I would have to wait a week to get the referrel.

Thorough and caring Dr. She had followed up with me after other health care appointments to stay on top of my health situation and ensure she answered all questions.

Dr. Ratner listens, pays attention to details and figures out the best plan of action for helping you. She spends time with you and in very knowledgeable. She is kind and professional at the same time.

Dr. Ratners office, Staff and her as a doctor are excellent. Mu care was direct, correct, prompt and wonderful follow up

Dr. Ratner is wonderful. She is an excellent diagnostician and has a very caring manner. Highly recommended!
