Summary
I was born in South Africa. After medical school, I completed an internship and then worked as a senior house officer at Groote Schuur Hospital in beautiful Cape Town, where the first human-to-human heart transplant was performed. I then briefly practiced as a family practice physician before I decided to come to the United States for additional residency training. I trained in Boston at Harvard Medical School, studying internal medicine, before transferring to New York University to pursue a residency in the dynamic field of diagnostic radiology. Following board certification, I moved to the West Coast to complete an additional computed tomography, ultrasound, and interventional radiology fellowship at USC.
