Dr. Julian Manuel Thomas, MD

My husband was a patient of his 2 years ago at Wake Health, North Wilkesboro NC. Because we moved to Wilkes County. His practice style was very different from any doctors we have experienced. He puts the patient in his office with two computer monitors and reads the medical histories aloud and he speaks to you as if he is teaching in school. My husband had AFIB and low heart rates. The doctor prescribed Xarelto to prevent stroke form blood clots in the heart. My husband already had a history of severe stomach ulcer. Subsequently, my husband was in the emergency room with the heart rate of 35. The doctor told him to go home because the medications he changed wasn't start working. a few days later, the heart rate averaged 45. I called the doctor for an urgent appointment. The office said that the doctor is too busy and go to the primary doctor or go to an emergency room. All my husband could do was sit and sleep all day because of the condition. By then, we went back to the… former cardiologist 100 miles away. He immediately started a process to have a pacemaker surgery in Novan hospital in Charlotte. Within two weeks, my husband had the pacemaker and regain enough strength to enjoy his daily life. In my opinion, Dr. Thomas was not the right doctor for my husband.
