Dr. Juliana Kanji, MD

This is the worst mental health care I've ever gotten in my entire life!! When I first started going it was great. I loved the N.p. Alicia is wonderful. My therapist was amazing. Then one day 8 months later they both were gone! I suddenly get a bill saying my insurance didn't cover copays. Kanji starts seeing me. Gives meds sends me out like cattle. New therapist sounds like a harsh person and I explain I can't afford 435.$ why wasn't I told all this time I had copays? Then I get another letter saying copays are covered but need to pay deductible! Like what is going on here? They don't answer the answering machine messages. They don't answer the phone. They are a bunch of cliquey women who only care about themselves and Kanji is a very cold , money hungry person. Don't bother get a real Dr... ????????

This is to warn anyone with mental illness, or a caregiver for that person, to avoid treatment with Dr. J. Kanji and her office staff. My son was released from a hospital into her care. My son was diagnosed with severe schizophrenia. He was required to be on clozapine. First ,she did not see him herself for weeks but had us see a nurse practitioner. The prescribed drug, clozapine, required weekly white blood count monitoring. When my son was released from the hospital I was told that he should remain on this drug as it was a miracle drug. My son’s white blood count lowered and he was removed from clozapine by Dr. Kanji. My son then became suicidal and his symptoms worsened significantly due to Dr. Kanji not being able to manage the clozapine and his white blood count. He had to be admitted to another facility really to save his life. That facility, unlike Dr. Kanji was able to manage his clozapine medication while maintaining a normal white blood count. He is doing well now both… mentally and physically. He is now able to be on clozapine because his white blood count has been effectively maintained. Instead of Dr. Kanji being able to do this ,her lack of knowledge and ability, could have cost my son his life.

I cannot say this loud enough on here but.......RUN!!!!!! If I could give no stars I would cause this place is a blight on society and it should be shut down. Never in my life did I ever imagine a medical professional could behave so badly. Horrible experience in every way. She hurts people without a second thought!! Does not listen to her patients or their families. Continually over medicated my Mother in law for years. I am so glad I finally convinced her to go elsewhere. You are better off with out Dr. Kanji or her "medicine" She sure doctored my poor MIL almost to the point of no return!!

Finally found a doctor that not only takes our insurance but took so much time to explain everything to us. I couldn’t ask for better for my child. Her office is quite busy and I understand why she takes such good care of her patients and it seemed to my husband who was in the waiting room that her patients care about her as well. The office staff was very polite and accommodating. Will tell all my friends and family it’s so hard to find good people anywhere anymore.

What a relief to finally feel better. I love Dr. Kanji and look forward to every appointment. I highly reccommend her to anyone who is looking for help

Best doctor in town Believe me totally worth the wait !!!

I love Dr. Kanji, She is one of the best Psych MD I have seen. But the staff, this review will be too long if I start. During the pandemic, I ran out of medication because my insurance was not effective. I was willing to pay $300 to speak to the doctor to have my medications refill. One of the staff told me I have to pay $475. When I hang up & call back, someone else told me okay $300. And while on the phone she said excuse me, came back to the phone told me $475 while I told her I'm working with my insurance to have that last bill pay. During quarantine, this is the time depression is worst, now to be mean, inconsiderate like that. At first she said to bring $475 cash to her office before she can call me and make an appointment with the doctor. Then change her mind, tell me to bring the money to the pharmacy next door, they will call her to come get it. How would you fill about that? And when I ask her to please ask the doctor for a 7 days medications, she cut me off stating… "Absolutely not", not until I pay the money. These people should not be working with depressed patients. They make you feel much worst about yourself.

The wait is 45 min to an hour, then appointment is 5 min long. I think my insurance paid for a 45 min visit. She is rude and has been busy with her personal mail on her desk as I am trying to speak to her. Prescribed me more and more medication each of my 3 visits. Never send a loved one here. She needs to be reported!

DRUG DEALER gives out adderall scrips and rotates them between time release and not time release......really didnt care that the person had bipolar mania......

Dr. Kanji should not have a license to practice psychiatry. She has no idea of my name or my background history. I saw her 3-4 times and she had no hesitation filling my prescriptions. The office is about hurrying people in and getting them out. There is no interpersonal communication at all. I hope someone who is TRULY in need of psychiatric help, goes and sees the right doctor.
