Dr. Julie Lynn Blommel, MD

My doctor was not available and Dr. Blommel was the hospital OB covering emergencies. She was immediately available for us! We were so worried and she was right there to care for me and our baby!

What a blessing to us at a time when we were nervous and didn't know what to expect! Thank you Dr. B!!

I wish doctor Blommel was back in Charlottesville! Her recommendations were amazing but I do miss seeing her for all my appointments. She also delivered my four children and they’re all doing great and getting so big!!

Dr. Blommel has delivered all 3 of my children and I would not pick a new doctor ever! She doesn’t hesitate to tell me what’s going on, and I really appreciate that because the more information the better. She is personable yet professional!

Dr. Blommel was the best doctor and I want to have the rest of my babies with her! I visited a few in town before I had my child and when I went to deliver my doctor could not make it to the hospital and she was the one to do it. She was so professional and made me feel comfortable right away, even though we did not know each other. She did not hide anything and talked me through every step. I had some complications and she explained them and handled them so well, I am so grateful!

I recently moved and had not yet established with a new OB doctor so I went to the hospital when I had a problem. Dr. Blommel saw me there and was so kind, caring, reassuring! She completely eased my fears and answered all my questions! I wish she was taking new OB patients! What a relief it was to see her when I was so worried!

My friends, sisters and I were so sad when Dr. Blommel closed her office to accept another job with a large company. She referred us to her colleagues but we still miss her. I was her patient for years. She was always so kind, compassionate and went above and beyond to answer questions or return calls after hours. She delivered all four of my children and I feel blessed to have had the same doctor for all of my deliveries. I saw her recently and it was wonderful catching up!

I felt as though I mw and my boyfriend were judged by her because we were not married and having a baby. Not to mention he has tattoos and piercings and she was always very rude to him. She would never let me finish my sentences before she blurted in about how whatever i was i feeling or thinking was wrong or was not related to me. It was my first pregnancy and I did not know what to expect. I got most of my comfort and in formation through reading so i would not suggest going to Dr. Blommel Unless you want to feel like a total idiot.
