Dr. Julie Ann Chicks, MD

She wants you to stay hooked on suboxone for as long as possible! Dr.Chicks is not interested in helping you get off of it. Also, she does not care about her patients whatsoever! She thinks she is a God! Its ridiculous and sad. I'm working so hard to stay clean and I almost think that she wants me to fail!!! No good. Do not recommend her at all!!!

I have been seeing Julie for some time now on the Suboxone program. She has always been helpful and I have always been comfortable there. She always tries to help me with smoking and eating habits. Some of the new mindfulness ideas and self-awareness has come in to prominence recently, she was way ahead of that curve. That shows me she is actively engaged in making people's lives better by looking for new ideas and treatments. I only have positive things to say about her.

I see dr Chicks forever. She is smart, very knowledgeable and she Helps.

If there were any bad reviews it wasn't Julie Chicks they saw. From the very start I felt very comfortable from the staff to Julia herself. The Gratitude I feel has taken on a life of its own. I've gone to a number of doctors for treatment for my addiction and all I felt from them was judgment. They acted angry and like they shouln't be bothered and if I did anything wrong I'd be out of the program in a heartbeat.There is no way that any negative review was because of Julie or her staff.

I will first disclose that Dr Chicks saved my life almost 10 years ago. I will also mention the several breakdowns I've had over the years, where she has ALWAYS taken time to figure out what regimen changes were needed, regardless how far past our allotted appt time it took. See, where I work, the Drs act put out to spend 5 whole mins face to face with a patient. Not Dr Chicks, shes just different from the majority of today's clinicians. I will also talk about the time I had a very strange medical condition occur right as I was sitting in her office, and while she could've said, "You'll have to see your GP for that," she did not. Instead, she helped me for over a month, working through this incredibly painful, bizarre condition when she most certainly didn't have to. I believe she did it because that's just who she is; she truly cares more about the patient than the money. To be clear, I feel the universe blessed me when it dropped her into my life so many years ago and I highly… recommend her care.

I had to find a new doctor because mine retired. Went to a different one and was not impressed. It's very hard to find an independent doctor these days but Dr. Chicks was wonderful. I like a doctor that's straightforward, understanding and listens because who knows you and your issues better than you. She wasn't pushy and spent an hour with me on my first visit. I'd highly recommend her

After several years Dr Chicks Ultimately failed me. I am 58 years old, several doctors to look back on! Great Doctor if you do not mind NOT having a real input. Greatest repeated disappointments were statements made every other month "call if any changes needed" Not one time anything was done, changed. I understand not changing anything over the phone but Please STOP stating you will. Entire time prepping and receiving assurance and PROMISES for continuing certain scripts during transition at time we would move to Arizona. In the end it sounded like She was the patient making all kind of excuses.

left a patient in care without medication over a period of two days, because they had a balance!

An addiction Dr Who illegally prescribes meds that are restricted, then changes the codes necessary with the pharmacy to get them processed, says she's your pain doctor, until you refuse to worship her, then out of nowhere, she becomes your addiction doctor to suite her desires, yet screws up the rest of your meds to keep you suffering. I had an allergic reaction to a medication, yet she told me to continue the meds -even though I had itching & severe rash that made me scratch until my entire neck & chest were scratched until several layers of skin were removed !!! My AODA counsellor refers to her as "the witch doctor" after viewing the damage to my skin! I was eligible for mileage reimbursement covered by insurance, yet she refused to turn in the forms required to assist me with the 6 hour round trips I had to make weekly, which some kept me waiting in her office for over 5 hours(7 was longest). On trips that could have been completed in less less than an hour, but she likes you… to waste an entire day! ! (DO NOT TAKE PETS OR CHILDREN ALONG, NOT POSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO WAIT THIS LONG!!!)
