Dr. Julie Marshall Dennis, MD

We went to Dr. Dennis for almost 10 years before we moved states. She was wonderful. She listened, never talked down to parents, made correct diagnoses, and genuinely cared for and remembered my kids. Have I cried because I miss her? Yes. I didn't know how good we had it until I had to try to find another pediatrician. I don't think I'll ever find another pediatrician I like as much. Yes, the wait time could get long, but it was more than worth it. The practice always had room to see a sick child the same day and well appointments could be made only a few weeks in advance. Thank you Dr. Dennis.

I am currently looking for another doctor! My husband is a medical school student whom says not to waste my time that all pediatricians are jaded from his experience in rotations; I am not ready to accept that seeing as how she is the only pediatrian my newborn has ever seen. The first visit the doctor blew in like a whirlwind and out just as quickly. The doctor was not rude that day but nor was she pleasant. She was on a personal call outside of the room for a while I chalked that visit and bedside manner up to a rough day or personal issues. Plus, I thought it takes sometime for some people to "warm up" after 2 months and 4 visits I am still waiting to not be treated like we are inconveniencing her by being there. I highly recommend ANY other doctor. Onto the staff that is hit or miss, one of the receptionist ( Brunette about 45yrs old) seems to have a similar approach I drove all the way over there one day for her to tell me they could not give me paperwork I needed, in a snide… tone. I CALLED later to be told they absolutely could by another receptionist. I have also had to argue with a nurse about a prescription, I could understand if I were asking for narcotics but that could not been further from the case. I have been underwhelmed by the bedside manner of the entire staff on multiple occasions and I recommend anyone else.

I would highly recommend Dr. Dennis. She relates to me as a doctor and as a parent, and is always willing to make the extra effort to provide my son the best medical care. My son has special needs including some complex medical issues so we are familiar with many local doctors. Dr. Dennis is the only one who has ever called me personally to discuss concerns about my son's health and treatment. She and her staff always respond quickly to phone calls and fit us in on short notice if my son needs to be seen. We could not ask for a better doctor than Dr. Dennis, both on a professional and personal level.

My son, both my nephews and also my best friend's 3 kids all use Dr. Dennis as a pediatrician and she is WONDERFUL!!! I highly recommend her and Over The Mountain Pediatrics!!
