Julie A. Fattore, DDS
Dr. Fattore has been contributing to the field of dentistry for the past 27 years. She graduated from the University of Michigan with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and Biology in 1982, becoming a full-time Dental Hygienist. In 2003, she earned her doctorate from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and completed her residency at John Dingell V.A. Hospital. In 2004, she began working with Dr. Borovich and Dr. Thompson.
Dr. Fattore is a Certified Invisalign Provider and stays up-to-date on the ever changing field of dentistry as a member of the American Dental Association, member of the Michigan Dental Association, member of Oakland county Dental Society and member of the Russell W. Bunting Periodontal Society.
In her own words:
“My primary goal when you first arrive at my office is to make certain you feel comfortable with me as a person and confident that my workmanship will last a long time. My approach to dentistry is to partner with you …so that together we can design a treatment program that prevents disease, maintains your good health, finds solutions for your dental problems, and improve your appearance.
My 18 years experience as a dental hygienist and 27 total years in dentistry have revealed to me the importance of giving attention to a patient as a total person while focusing on their teeth. I will work with you on your nutrition, your lifestyle, your chronic diseases and your special health conditions so that my treatments for your teeth serve you the very best. It is my responsibility to present viable options that are functional as well as aesthetic and preventative.
My second goal for you is to be certain that when I analyze your dental problems, the oral health strategy that we create together is specifically appropriate for you and shows little or no risk. This includes determining the possible impact of disease factors on your oral health. This also includes eliminating any compromise to your immune system.
Your mouth and teeth are the gateway to your health, and I want your teeth to look their best and last a lifetime. Your teeth are interconnected to the organs and glands in your body. Your teeth can hide infections without symptoms and diminish your body's immune response. This is why I focus on nutrition and education for your personal dental and overall health.
My third goal is to always be exceptionally skillful when treating you. I am able to achieve this because I strongly believe in continuing my professional education. Currently, I am attending The Kois Center, a highly regarded post-graduate program that has its own research facility in Seattle, Washington. John Kois encourages and fosters my belief in the practice of evidence based dentistry. I have also established strong affiliations with the highly regarded dental specialists in the area. I believe it is important for my patients to know that my approach to dentistry is dynamic. I am constantly reviewing and learning new concepts, approaches and techniques.
Each of my patients deserves to be counseled in their overall dental health as well as offered customized treatments based on their needs, and desires.”
