Dr. Julie Mary Floyd, MD

I literally owe my life to Dr. Julie Floyd. She has been my primary care Physician since 2005. Her quick and accurate diagnosis of my many ailments in the past 14 years has not only made my life better, but it is a life that she has saved at least twice. She accurately diagnosed my Gout and placed me on medication that has saved by joints from the ravaging disease of arthritic Gout. She diagnosed my SVT Tachycardia, and sent me to the best Cardiologists and Electro-Cardiologist, that proceeded to cure this deadly abnormal heart rhythm. She saved my life. Just recently, I was feeling tired, and went to see her, thinking that I had low testosterone. Three days later after a series of tests she ordered, she made the accurate diagnosis that I had Gastric Cancer. Dr. Floyd, once again, sent me to the very best Doctors for cancer treatment. She saved my life once again. My whole family has her as their primary care Physician, and all are not only pleased with their… care, but also very grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Julie Floyd as your Doctor.

I found Dr. Floyd to be very caring and engaging. She gave me the sense that she cares about my concerns and is very thorough. Waiting room time was excellent. Staff very friendly. I'm very pleased with Dr. Floyd and would highly recommend her to others for their medical care.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Floyd for 3 years. WeI haven't had to wait very long in the waiting room. We like her no nonsense way of doing things. She will send you to a specialist if you need one and prescribe medication if it is necessary. It is nice to have a Doctor who is not quick to just give you a pill for everything. She listens to what you have to say and is good to make sure you have your answers and understand the answer completely.

I would not recommend Dr. Floyd to anyone. She carries being conservative to an extreme. I had the absolute worst ear ache of my life, couldn't even chew or talk and she wouldn't give me anything for it because there was wax in my ear. It was another three days once the wax was removed that she admitted I needed antibiotics. I don't run to the doctor at every ache or pain. I only go if it is obvious my body needs help. After three other such instances over 5 years I have decided to NEVER return to Dr. Floyd. Seeing her is a waste of time, money and I truly believe not in my best interest.

I have been seen at this office on and off for over ten years. I received my vaccinations for living on campus before I left for college in 2002. Any summer that I would return from college I would go to this office with any issue I had (the office has actually changed locations I have been going there for so long). About 4 years ago I moved back home and thought I would go back to Dr. Floyd as my primary care physician, afterall 3.5 years ago she referred me to my tonsils and adenoids out due to the fact that I frequented her office with strep throat. Since the surgury I have had no health issues and have not returned. Recently I had a viral infection and thought to see her. When I went back everything seemed fine until I got a bill in the mail for $120.00 -right after Christmas when I was broke- for a new patient fee. I called about this bill and no one seemed to care that I was infact not a new patient. The response I got is "you're lucky your insurance would not allow us to charge… more" so not only do they charge new patient fees to old patients their fees are so high that insurance companies tell them they're charging too much! Apparently after a certain amount of time they can pretend they've never seen you. I went from feeling like I had a doctor I could trust to a doctor who sees me as a dollar figure and will milk me for every dollar I have. I will not be returning to this office and I strongly suggest that if you have never been here you avoid the "new patient fee" because it might cost you more than $120.00 if your "insurance allows it".

Dr. Floyd is very helpful. When all the local specialists refused to take on new patients, I thought I was stuck, but Dr. Floyd made sure I got the correct medication anyway.

Diagnosed my wife's cancer when two other doctrs didn't. Sent her to a specialist immediately and called to make sure my insurence company didn't block things. Outstanding
