Dr. Julie Diana Grosvenor, MD

I called this office for my knee pain and was scheduled with this doctor's PA. I spent over a year having injections, PT and had arthroscopic surgery. I had torn meniscus and both knees and was in debilitating pain. Most visits I was in tears from the pain. I needed a knee replacement and was told by the PA that the surgeon would not consider it till I lost weight and that I was not old enough (56). Due to my severe knee pain I was literally immobile so all I did was continue to gain weight. After work all I could do was sit on the couch with ice on my knees. My arthroscopic surgery showed end stage arthritis with bone on bone. Regardless of what the PA said I think this doctor should have had a conversation with me of what my future would hold. The only time I actually saw the doctor was after my MRI and the day of my surgery. The injections and arthroscopic surgery gave me no relief. I gave up on them and went to another doctor through Maine Med. He had been recommended to me… as the best in the area. I did have to wait 6 months to see him because he is the best but it was worth the wait. When I told him the other doctor would not do a knee replacement till I lost weight, he's response was "how can you lose weight when you can't even move?" Exactly! In 2017 I had both of my knees replaced (6 months apart). I am no longer in pain and am mobile again. I am now a Weight Watchers and Planet Fitness member and have lost 30 pounds. I have my life back thanks to Dr. Michael Becker of Maine Medical Partners.

My personal opinion of Dr. Grosvenor is that she takes great pride in her work. I feel very secure in the fact she is preforming the procedure. I would highly recommend a one, on one consult if you have had enough pain.
