Dr. Julie Ann Hendrix, MD

She would not schedule my appointment because I would not take the clot shot. I don't need anyone berating me to take a deadly experimental vaxx.

I've been with Dr. Hendrix for 11 years now. I'm a type 1 diabetic who wears an insulin pump. I'm now 62 years old and she keeps me healthy! She is so responsive and knowledgeable. Love her!

Dr. Hendrix is excellent. She, and her staff (Vicki is the best) are very caring about you and your health. If you do not want to be compliant and do what it takes to stay healthy she will not be the right doc for you (of course why go at all). I have been a type 1 diabetic for 30 years, (been with Dr. Hendrix 10) lived in several locations and Julie is on par with my initial endo, Paul Jellinger. This is not to mention that my numbers are the best they have ever been.

I think Dr. Hendrix is a wonderful doctor. I can't say enough great things about her.

I have been seeing Dr. Julie for around 16 years. She is a great doctor and honestly seems to care about me and my health. Her staff is always friendly and courteous. I get in and out of my visits quickly.

Dr. Hendrix is the third endocrinologist I have had since being diagnosed diabetic--two in other states. She is definitely the best. She is knowledgeable and has always been willing to spend as much time as necessary with me to answer my questions and to attend to my needs. I have never felt rushed. I have also established a close bond with the nurse that I see prior to seeing Dr. Hendrix. All of the staff have been polite and helpful. I would recommend Dr. Hendrix to anyone looking for a topnotch physician who truly cares about her patients.

First of all, the older receptionist is the rudest medical receptionist I've ever seen or talked to. I am also in the medical profession, and I felt so unwelcome. All she talked about was how I was going to pay. Then I always waited in the exam room for so long. Dr. Hendrix would ask the same questions, as if they weren't already in my file for the last several years...and would send me off for labwork immediately. No time to speak about my concerns. Then when the bill comes, it's ENORMOUS. And that's not just for the labwork, it's for the oh so important and long visit she gave me. NOT. Dr. Hendrix did not give me very much information regarding my thyroid...it's almost as if I'm a test dummy...changing my prescription dosage every time I go in..but I don't get any explanation. I feel like I am just a paycheck, and with a high deductible insurance, you're better off finding somewhere that treats you like a human being, cares about your time, and what you can afford. However, I will… say that Vicki, the nurse is very pleasant, but I will be seeking a new provider.

I understand being honest with your patients is a good quality in a provider. I should know I have worked for one for over 8 years. But Dr. Hendrix goes beyond honest to down right rude (her office staff was rude also, besides the one lady who did my vitals). She cussed me out on my first visit for waiting to have children because I have a thyroid problem. YES CUSSED me out! Her exact words, "You're too fat to have kids". She has caused me a lot of anxiety about going to other doctors. I even stayed away from them for over a year because I was afraid they were all going to be as rude as she was. I have since switched Endo doctors and she states, I have to reason not to become pregnant. EVEN my OB and fertility doctor disagree with her. She is just downright rude and I wouldn't send my dog to see her.
