Dr. Julie Kyoko Iwasaki, MD

I have been diagnosed with rosacea in previous years. When I went for my initial visit with Dr. Iwasaki, she diagnosed me with a completely different problem without even looking closely at my skin. I'm not sure how a dermatologist can come up with a prognosis from 4 feet away? Anyway, turns out she was wrong and I am now seeing a competent dermatologist.

A very skilled and accomplished Dermatologist. I think she is an outstanding Doctor that takes her time and cares. I trust her completely. Her office staff is friendly & helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I was referred to Dr. Iwasaki by my PCP for a skin cancer screen for rough , red, irregular spots. Dr. Iwasaki, upon hearing the reason for my visit, seemed completely disinterested and actually stared blankly at me when I asked her to explain Melanoma vs. Carcinoma as I am not a doctor. She seemed irritated that I had been referred to her for a screening. Is this not what Dermatologists do? With my family history I expected some concern, but she acted put upon and told me, "Your PCP can do this exam in the future." Then, it seemed as though she wanted to do cryosurgery on my face to justify my visit, and to bill an office surgery. She aggressively began nitrogen treatment on my face despite my protests that I had to be outside in the coming days and could not cover the sores.I found her personality rude and cold and unprofessional. I was a patient of Dr. William Crudup in Torrance for many years, for the same concerns, and his bedside manner was always professional and caring. The… same with Dr. Goodlerner. I feel Dr Iwasaki needs to adjust her professional attitude quickly.

I saw Dr. iwasaki. She is amazing. I was in the office for one condition and she was willing to see me for something unrelated. She is accommodating, nice, caring, and overall a wonderful doctor. She was able to cure something that I have been suffering with for years. I absolutely recommend her.

After dealing with rosacea for a few years and dealing unsuccessfully with other Dermatologists, I was referred to Dr Julie Iwasaki by my PMD. At the time I was having a major flare up and needed medical guidance. Dr Iwasaki was the consummate professional in managing my care and treatment. She was able to guide me through a successful treatment plan and I couldn't be more pleased with her service. After my visit today I was informed that my rosacea was officially resolved. I have been a patient of Dr. Iwasaki for more than five years and over that time, she has treated me for several skin conditions that I have suffered. She always explains these conditions thoroughly, answers all questions, anticipates others and gives various options for treatment. Also, Dr. Iwasaki's staff are excellent---patients are always treated professionally and courteously. I have referred both family and friends to Dr. Iwasaki and I recommend her highly to all, with NO reservations.

My skin looks so bad that it's embarrassing but Dr.Julie always puts me at ease and always makes me feel better. I highly recommend her. Her staff are always polite and sweet. Also, I never have to wait unlike some other dr's offices. Dr Julie always spends a good amount of time with me explaining all the details to all my questions. Never do I feel rushed.

Dr. Iwasaki is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I did not feel rushed and she is very easy to talk to. I have been to other dermatologists, and I felt that she was the most thorough with the explanation of my condition and treatment. I have recommended her to my friends and they have all raved about how good she is! Highly recommended!!!
