Dr. Julie Mingjue Jiang, MD

As a radiation oncologist, Julie Jiang, MD, PhD, treats patients with both benign and malignant conditions. She specializes in radiation therapy for endometrial, cervical, breast and gastrointestinal cancers.Dr. Jiang's clinical expertise includes image-guided intensity-modulated radiation (IMRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), electron beam therapy, helical intensity-modulated adaptive therapy (TomoTherapy) and intensity-modulated proton therapy (IMPT). She also has training in internal radiation therapies using brachytherapy for gynecological oncology and prostate low-dose radiation (LDR).Originally from the South, Dr. Jiang moved to Wilkes-Barre because Geisinger's mission aligns with her interest in improving patients' well-being and quality of life. "I love interacting with patients, and I'm passionate about involving them in their cancer care journeys," she says.She has received the Leo M. Davidoff Society of the Albert Einstein College …of Medicine Award for outstanding achievement in the teaching of medical students. She has also been recognized by the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Radiosurgery Society.In her spare time, Dr. Jiang enjoys spending time with friends, going out to eat and playing board games. She also enjoys training her two cats, watching musicals, crafting and reading.
