Julie Keeler

I think that nursing chose me. I have always been interested in science, but the human side of science is what really appealed to me. I have never looked back, only forward in this profession. My areas of interest include adolescent health, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopause and management of all types of birth control. My approach to care includes the patient and myself working as a team to understand the patient’s needs to promote learning and healthy decision making. Additionally, the management of the patient’s concerns keeping the patient’s knowledge and opinions as an integral part of decision making and planning for their care. Nurses are patient advocates, and this is the foundation of care that I provide. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, landscaping, hiking, kayaking, quilting and pets.
