Dr. Julie Elizabeth Lewerenz, MD

Dr. Lewerenz is one of those rare psychiatrists who actually cares about you as an individual. She makes eye contact, responds to you and your 'story', listens very well and takes the time to hear all of what you have to say. She also takes the time to explain medications - what and why. Also, what the goal is with your body's response and what to expect. I've been seeing psychiatrists for the majority of my life. Dr. Lewerenz is one of TWO psychiatrist I've EVER met who talk to you as a person. I have found that most psychiatrists look at their note pad while writing, nodding, saying 'uh hua', hand you a prescription, and hustle you out the door with a 'see you in ____ days'. Like I said, Dr. Lewerenz is the complete opposite - she is one of those rare amazing psychiatrists. As soon as I got home, I got in touch with a friend who is in need of a psychiatrist, and told her to "Go see Dr. Lewerenz! Don't waste your time or money anywhere else."

We adore Dr. Lewerenz! She is the most kind and patient Psychiatrist we have ever known. My son goes to her bi-monthly and he loves her and the office manager too.
