Dr Julie Y Li, MD

Dr. Li received her MD degree from Shanghai Tongji University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China, and her PhD in Human Genetics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China. She completed a Research Fellowship at National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland, and University of Maryland. She completed a Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She went on to complete a Hematopathology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, followed by Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Li joins us from Boston Medical Center where she served as the Medical Director of Hematology and Medical Director of Hemoglobin Diagnostic Reference Lab in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.Dr. Li's clinical interest is the diagnosis of hematopoietic disorders including myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms, utilizing morphology, immunophenotype and genetic studies.
