Dr. Julie Ann Margenthaler, MD

Dr. Margenthaler is fantastic, but the reconstructive surgeon to whom she referred me did a terrible job. Ask her to recommend anyone other than Marissa T. Despite revisions by another PS, I’m still suffering from what she did to me by inserting implants the size of torpedos (no, I did NOT want breasts larger than my pre surgical natural breasts) and the enormous pockets she created to insert them and didn’t anchor them so I was further stretched. I don’t know why she did this, but every surgeon who saw what she did was horrified by her lack of surgical skills. Dr. Margenthaler, yes. Marissa T, no !!!

I have been a patient of Julie's since 2014 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was with me through it all: the surgery, chemo, reconstruction and annual visits, which I continue to have. She is the very best at what she does and you won't meet a nicer, kinder person. I have and will continue to recommend her in the future.

Dr. Margenthaler is exceptional - in skill, knowledge, and bedside manner. You can tell she cares. Never did I feel rushed in appointments. I always felt like I was in the best hands with both Dr. Margenthaler and her staff.

I can't get the office to address my call. Tried 4 times today over a span of 4 hours, on hold over 30 minutes after being told I need to talk to scheduling to make an appt based on a dr referral. At this rate I will have to get another referral from my doctor. Its hard enough facing a serious medical issue, but then to be ignored and given the run around is even harder.

Dr Margenthaler is not only an excellent surgeon but compassionate and dedicated. She made sure to call me after hours to discuss test results and I was reassured from the beginning of my breast cancer diagnosis that she would be there as needed. Having been a surgical nurse for years I am grateful and blessed to have the best. Her medical team is efficient and caring and always there for whatever you need.

Mrs.Margenthaler is the best doctor hands down. She cares about the well being of every patieny ! She not only do the surgeries she talks to you before and after the procedure. She has helped me greatly!! And I love and respect her to the fullest??????????????????

Dr, Margenthaler is extremely caring, very competent in her surgery; compassionate and understanding!! She displayed excellent knowledge, skills during visits and performing the surgery as well as during follow-up after surgery. She exhibited extremely understanding care, especially since I had experienced a surgery that had been improperly performed and part of the growth had not been removed, as well as identification and removal of 2 other growths. She was prompt in notifying me they were benign as soon as she knew. The other doctor she has recommended for follow-up is equally great!! They are the best; highly efficient, caring individuals who treat the whole person!! Thank you, Dr. Margenthaler!! an 87 year young patient!!

She is the sweetest, kindest person in every way, besides being a top notch surgeon. I am so happy to have had her. She got me through this. Without her, I would have never done it. All the stars in the sky belong beside her name.

Seeing dr Margenthaler after an abnormal mammogram here in Indiana, She comforted me and explained that I was ok.....no cancer! 5 years later, I had great confidence that after another abnormal mammogram, she was the most qualified, caring dr. I wanted her expertise Today she called to give me the news this time I have breast cancer.... I can't imagine anyone ever wants to hear these words but she so calmly & confidently described our plan of action While the future is unknown, I have an amazing peace that my care is in her hands....I knew she called from out of town....I told her nurses to wish her a happy vacation and they laughed! She will be working....her passion is helping Patients & always discovering new technology! Thank you dr Margenthaler for loving your patients and the sacrifices you make ! So grateful to have a Dr who has treated me with such diligence and compassion.
